In fairness the new shapes club's have started using in the past decade or so you do often see the number 4 in midfield sitting just in front of the back 4. But traditional it's just wrong.
It doesn't really matter. Nisbet will be first choice striker this year and was always going to be, but he'll be assigned his usual number 15 squad number.
Ian Wright used number 8 for majority of Arsenal career which I think breaks the mould even more than someone who picks a high squad number though is a regular starter like Pirlo's 21. I'm sure William Gallas wore number 10 while playing centre half for Arsenal.

My Airdrie supporting mate considers Josh Edwards an attacking wide player rather than a traditional left back.
Airdrie played with 3 centre halves last season with Edwards playing in that left wing back role, so wasn't as burdened with a defensive role as a more traditional left back on the end of a back four would.

Djorkaeff caused Comrie problems. I wonder how it feels to have had a really easy time of it for an hour or so and then being faced with someone with pace who'll suddenly test you, can't be overly easy to switch into that sort of the game halfway through the second half.

I was pleased with Nisbet. I thought he was just a finisher, but he was always looking to drop in and give the midfield or defence an outlet to feet.
Coley looks a good player, for someone who hasn't played a great deal of men's football he knows the wee tricks about when to slow down and invite contact to nick a foul here and there. Can see us playing counter often and relying on Coley's pace.
Scully looked a bit iffy here and there, early days though.

In terms of my grocery shop, beans have to be Heinz or Branston. Brown sauce must be HP.
Kitchen roll, I am loyal to Might Big in B&M. It's £2.99 or 3 rolls but what a roll of kitchen paper it is. You could dry yourself coming out the shower with one.
Everything else I just get the cheapest I can find.

The players were standing next to him pishing themselves.
It was a really good day. Paul Paton was on good form joking around with the kids as well. Crawford was really good too, spent a good few minutes talking to my boy about school and that. The young lads done really well too, I'd have hated having a few hours of primary school age kids wanting to talk to you when I was 18 or 19.
My 6 year old loved it all.

Paul Paton was talking about his role as one of the experienced pros at the club and mentioned that we've a good captain in Ashcroft but that he's in to help and set an example for the young guys as well.
Nothing official ever said but I think that's decent confirmation.

I can't find any info on the Coventry match except it was Coventry won 1-0 and it was the Saturday after the West Ham game.

Matt le Tissier scored a screamer of a free kick in front of the old Cowdenbeath end in the mid 90s and I'm sure there was a friendly against West Ham around the same time that a teenage Rio Ferdinand strolled through.
EDIT: had a wee search for the West Ham friendly and it totally passed me by that Frank Lampard also started that game. Would have been a Harry Curran and Frank Lampard battle in the middle of the pitch.

I don't even have a recollection of a Manchester United game after Nipper's testimonial.
I can't suffer a pre-season friendly I think the last friendly I attended that wasn't a testimonial was against Everton in the early 2000s. I went because of people suggesting there was a 15 year old who was a potential £15million transfer in the Everton team and I wanted to watch him. Rooney came on and was poor. Gravesen and Kevin Campbell stood out if I remember rightly.

It was when I was researching about ASD when we suspected my son had it and a few things I read just ran true. It took me a while to decide whether I wanted to know or not. I got diagnosed last September. It's been okay, understanding why I think differently from most people is there now but nothing has really changed.
I'm hoping it makes raising my son easier. Hopefully an autistic child being raised by an autistic parent is easier on the child than two neurotypical parents.

Driving on Saturday, my wife had to pop into a shop while me and my two boys stayed in the car. I put on some kids songs from youtube on my phone to appease the youngest one.
As I was doing that I opened my window as it was stifling. My eldest (6) said to me "Why are you opening the window Daddy, is that to let the internet in?"
