  1. I think Green also mentioned something about selling the naming rights of Ibrox. He mentioned a multi million pound deal with Apple and the stadium being called iBrox. Not quite sure what happened
  2. Absolutely. Although I'd rather we weren't having to discuss red weather warnings in Angus. It looks absolutely hellish in parts of the county. Fingers crossed there is no further loss of life.
  3. Was it not an amber warning two weeks ago when we played Dundee United?
  4. Jeezo. Three pages of an Arbroath - Rovers thread and not one mention about Dirty Dick's hatchet men, Lewis Vaughan's chocolate knees or Hammy winning the league at Stark's Park. What's going on boys?
  5. I honestly didn't notice them when Rovers were there in August, so that's usually a positive sign.
  6. Total football? With Robbie Muirhead in the team? Are you sure?
  7. I noticed Ethan Ross wasn't in the Falkirk squad. I'm trying to remember if he played for us against Cliftonville and is therefore cup-tied, or whether we're keeping him for the semis and final.
  8. Having another team with a J in their name would heartily piss off St Johnstone fans. More so a club based in Dundee.
  9. Am I right in saying that the current floodlights at Cliftonhill came from the old Arms Park in Cardiff?
  10. Can just see his Mrs wolfing into the unsold pies in the 200 club after the game.
  11. Connor O'Riordan has put Crewe in front tonight and Keiron Bowie set up Northampton's second. And Connor McBride just scored more league goals in the space of five minutes for Gateshead than he managed in a whole season for us.
  12. Kids are allowed in the Novar Bar - not sure if there's any stipulation on them having to have food. The Beveridge Park Hotel is right next to the station.
  13. It's a no-brainer to give the railway stand to United fans. Extra revenue for Rovers and less chance of away fans ending up in the South Stand. And above all, it's obscene to deprive fans of entry to a football ground when there is more than enough capacity to accommodate them.
  14. So much more professional and decent than the utterly ham fisted way we went about moving season ticket holders from the main stand to accommodate Rangers fans seven years past.
  15. Interesting that Motherwell moved their game to 12.30 yesterday - not for Sky, who showed no interest in the game, but so they could sell PPV streams, primarily to Celtic fans.
  16. Claught her by the rump, And left poor Maggie scarce o' stump.
  17. I thought Easton was luckier than Vaughan not to see red as he lifted both hands. The Ayr player's reaction was disgraceful, but if the referee had seen it, he could well have walked. In saying that, if the referee had blown for the blatant foul on Stanton seconds before, the whole situation would have been avoided.
  18. In the good old days the supporters' buses would drop off near the harbour. Billy Bridges, the Steamboat, the Smugglers, others I can't quite remember the names of. Top shops.
  19. Munro is bad, but he's not this bad. Looks like he's taken up Riverdancing.
  20. The pie supplier has changed since you were last through here. The steak pies probably aren't just as good as they once were, but there's a much wider choice. A pie, a fudge doughnut / empire biscuit and a drink meal deal.
  21. No real complaints about the outcome today. We had a good spell for 15 minutes leading up to half time and had the edge for 20 minutes after the break, but there were a couple of warning shots across our bows before the goal and Airdrie managed the game superbly after the goal, restricting us to little or nothing. Airdrie defended well, pressed our midfield and took a chance when it came, so no grudging them of the win. My only slight gripe about today, and I'm not convinced that it would have made any great difference to the outcome, but I can't understand the paltry amount of added time today, given that a minimum of 30 seconds is supposed to be added per substition and there were a few injuries on top.
  22. Quite happy with the changes from last week. The team looks like it has a wee bit more width and balance.
  23. As said above, Stanton's injury initially looked horrible - a stretcher job all the way. However, the fact he was able to walk round the track would suggest it was instant acute pain which reduced almost immediately (the kind of thing when two knees bang together). Saturday will be tough. Airdrie two out of two at home this season and desperate not to let a couple of defeats turn into a mini-slump.
