  1. I'd say that the posters who repeatedly say AFC** are stuck in the 80s are usually the fans of clubs who have never had a period of success to get nostalgic about, or their teams successful period is even further back than that if it does exist. They are possibly just jealous that the club they support has never been relevant outside the town or city they reside in.
  2. Ric comes across like someone who is still wet behind the ears. Naïve is an understatement. What did your mum make you for lunch Ric? My money would be on "wee Willie winkie" sausages. Edited for pish English
  3. My kids can't understand that I'm a few years older than Goodwin due to his full on greyness hopefully I'll not look like Jim until I'm in my 60s Anyway, he's a safe pair of hands, and hopefully can push AFC** on a wee bit.
  4. That is f**king horrendous that it's possible to play the same fixture 10 times in a season. End this shit show now. It's like the powers that be are trying to kill the game they run but we are all too stupid and stubborn to throw the towel in. It needs to stop. Bigger leagues need to happen.
  5. Clangers coaching Lewis and Woods how to get even worse and to hide if it gets really noisy or if a paper cups thrown at them. Hopefully he keeps Samson on as goalkeeper coach if it is Goodwin. I've seriously got the fear.
  6. After Glass I'm absolutely terrified about who Cormack is going to appoint. Usual suspect that I have to try and explain who they are and try sell that appointment to my kids or a big-ish name that'll come in and probably flop, and try to explain that to the kids. Was easier before I was a dad and it was only my own disappointment I had to manage.
  7. Spot on junior arab Be more interesting if it wasn't potentially the 6th time said 8th and 9th placed clubs had met that or any season. (I know AFC have been papped out both cups at first time of asking so being hypothetical)
  8. It would be mental. Honestly, everyone's kids would go berserk and everything would go through the roof until the wheels come off. Be like Fergie taking over to an auld man like me.
  9. I'm mid forties, but a name like that and my boys and daughter would be bouncing all over the house if that kind of name was announced. More so than a Knutsen, Dal Tomason or Wicky. Just imagine - hey kids, Man United's last manager has rocked up at Aberdeen to manage us. Kids - bedlam and screaming nonsense about us going to win champs league Me - shit, this is all gonnae go wrong. Calm Doon!!
  10. If ole was announced at the correct time to maximize the bounce both on and off the park, it would for his first season anyway, boost season tickets sales. Would give Dave and his American buddies a good idea how achievable 15000+ season tickets would be. Usual suspect gets it and we will be sticking around 10000 until they prove to be shite or amazing. AFC seems to have always had a disconnect with the fans. Ole for the first 8 months to a year would definitely give fans relations a boost. Be good to find out if he has seriously applied or if it's just internet mischief making up their with yerdas selsavon.
  11. Nailed it Kyle!! 8 times against 2 behemoths is ridiculous and a split to make sure they play you twice in five game run in at split to make sure you can't win it.
  12. Cheers Oats. Pretty good going when you look at other clubs who would love a record like that in spite of spending at least twice as much as you guys at any one time. Edit to say - I don't agree with lucky escapes pish. You're either doon or yer up. Nae middle ground there.
  13. I'm just hoping van veen gets injured, abducted by aliens or arrested for a major crime
  14. Mind that half the time the Edinburgh clubs aren't in the top league so I'd maybe push the mighty 'Well up a wee bit. How many times have 'Well been relegated since the switch to the wee leagues out of interest?
  15. Wage caps would help also. Or kick the bigots out to find another organisation that will give them preferential treatment at all times since they're the biggest clubs in the world and that's what they deserve. I would honestly love that to happen just so we could have a really competitive league. 50% of euro money above a certain and set amount to go back into the league or youth development to keep it as competitive as possible without favouritism. The league is broken and has been for nearly 30 years, but so long as it's broken in favour of the sectarian two then nothing will change.
  16. 13 wins from 11 games was pretty spectacular for Jack n Victor. Obviously this type of magic gets noticed....
  17. Almost forgot about their administration. They get serious credit for pumping the new rangers in that play off so I'll be man enough to give them credit where it's due.
  18. Seriously need a proper league or we won't have serious competition at the top end. 18 or 20 top league or we are all just farting in the wind and begging for scraps.
  19. That table shows if AFC and Edinburgh clubs are honest that Motherwell deserve a hell of a lot more respect and credit than we all currently give them. Edit to say - it shows how a well run club can seriously punch above it weight in finances, definitely deserve more credit than the three of us. All probably achieved on a budget of a third of the other 3s average. How much credit should go to Alan Burrows? (sure that's the guy) Maybe he's the man bigger clubs should be chasing?
