  1. Not just any corner, the charging Conga line tactic!
  2. In the Scottish Championship, even the 0-0 games are exciting. f**k every other league.
  3. The directness, the pressing, the swearing. Great Friday night viewing.
  4. It doesn't, the Bosman ruling only applies to signing players in EU nations. Is the Bosman rule codified into UEFA rules? Or is it purely an ECJ ruling? Would need to check what the rules are in non-EU, non UEFA nations.
  5. The most interesting one to me will be if the Bosman rule will still apply as it was originally an ECJ ruling.
  6. Rightly so, Dundee have never beat ICT in the highlands... In a league game. (Thanks Ross)
  7. They rejected him as a source of glue as the ball never sticks to him.
  8. McPake one again managing to make impactful subs, and by that I mean they make the side worse.
  9. Paul McGowan's angry rant at the team has clearly motivated Paul McGowan.
  10. Nope. Shields is clearly a player who thinks 'got the ball, run with the ball' and missed it.
  11. ICT don't even need to make tackles, just press and Queens will give up possession eventually.
  12. Brilliant from Shields but no help, his team let him down big there.
  13. What are people thinking in terms of the starting line up? I'm not a fan of 3 at the back but we don't have the personnel to make a flat back 4 work so we at least get the most out of Marshall and Elliot who are far better going forward than they are defensively. We should be going for it against Arbroath so 2 up top is a must, I'm yet to be impressed with any of the forwards but Afalobi looks like he might have something about him while I think Jakubiak deserves a crack at it, I'm still not sure what Mullen offers but I know what Sow offers: nothing. After that the 3 spots left over for midfield pick themselves. GK: Legzdins CB: McGhee CB: Ashcroft CB: Fontaine LWB: Marshall RWB: Elliot CM: Byrne CM: Adam CM: Anderson FW: Afalobi FW: Jakubiak
  14. Some of the old timers I speak to say a lot of fans used to go to both Dundee and United games, by the time the rivalry solidified and you were expected to choose one or the other both sides were fairly even. I doubt there were many defections (as in a fan completely switching allegiances), most likely it was just fans fully committing to one of the clubs.
  15. Rangers won the league 3 times in the late 70's including two trebles. From 1975 to 1985 they won over a dozen trophies. You're a glory hunter, just admit it and be at peace with it, you won't feel the need to get so defensive on the internet after that.
  16. A Man United fan from Dundee is as equally not from Manchester as a Celtic fan in Dundee is not from Glasgow, so no, there is no distinction. Also this thread is going about as well as I expected...
  17. Lose this and surely even Nelms will see it's time for McPake to go. A Dundee win and McPake probably limps on.
  18. Lots of times, you don't even need to go that far back. I remember Hartley and McCann chants at Dens, and all they did was string a few wins together. If it seems like Dundee fans moan about the manager a lot, it's usually because he is doing a shite job.
