  1. Robertson would be an uninspiring appointment. That's not what we need right now. We need somebody who can reignite the fans enthusiasm and organise and motivate a team who are capable of so much more. His name is John Hughes. Eric, please call him.
  2. Please let it happen. ETA: and he can take his hertz pals with him.
  3. They look like we did last season. Full of confidence and making it look easy.
  4. We're not particularly enjoying it either mate. Saw Shandons post, it made my eyes vomit. [emoji6]
  5. You won't find me disagreeing that we've been utter horse shit for weeks now, the football has been brutal at times. But it would be daft to underestimate just how much we miss Thomson, his return will undoubtedly make a difference. As you say Calderon, Locke appears to have the same stubborn streak Murray had, it's been obvious for weeks now that McManus needs dropped, f**k knows what Locke is seeing to continually pick a man who's confidence is clearly low. Re our issues up front, I think it's been mentioned elsewhere, somebody at the club should be on the blower to ibrox enquiring about Hardie, he enjoyed his time with us and would hopefully be agreeable to a return. I genuinely believe that our squad, when fit and on form, are a top four squad. But then again, I'm just one of those annoyingly optimistic b*****ds, so WTF do I know?
  6. Not great yesterday, Saints looked hungrier and took their chance well. Not too worried though. We'll improve when we get Thomson back. He's the one we've missed the most because of his excellent organisational skills, he's the glue that holds it all together. Deccy needs dropped for a couple of weeks, he so much better than his current form suggests and a wee spell on the bench will help him greatly. Locke needs to do it now though or the lads confidence will be completely fucked because it's just not happening for him just now. Stewart would benefit greatly if wee Vaughan could rediscover his pre-injury form, they were excellent together last season. We all know Vaughan's a player but there's something not right with him at the moment, trying too hard or has the injury taken away that wee bit something special he had? Boaby will take a couple of games to get going again and once match fit will make a huge difference. Our other Barr will be back at the arse end of January/start of February and again once he's match fit he'll improve the team greatly. It's just a pity the man seems to be made entirely of chocolate. I'm a fairly positive old sod by nature, granted, but I can't be the only Rovers fan who thinks that we'll kick on again in late January early February?
  7. What the actual f**k is going on in training????? Are they battering lumps out of each other ffs?
  8. How many points does a slightly larger support get you? You complete and utter slavering mess of a youth.
  9. First game [emoji106] Hope you and your laddie have a good day mate.
  10. Got to agree with you. I wasn't exactly enamoured with Lockes appointment but right now I'm happy enough to admit I was totally wrong. ETA Laurie's a class act and Rovers legend. Would love to see him learn his trade under McKinnon and return to us as manager at some point.
  11. Being ancient i tent just to focus on the Rovers, so can one of you young whipper snappers kindly inform this old man of the following; Who is Jordan McMillan and what has he done? Cheers.
  12. Play like we did today and it'll be an enjoyable afternoon, they'll struggle to deal with our movement up top.
  13. Susceptible to the ball through the middle of the defence, no real creativity in midfield and lightweight up front. The exact opposite of last week. The squad is still bedding in and it's not even August yet, you're going to get performances like that this time of the season. Chill the f**k out.
  14. It's frustrating enough for us but I'd imagine the lads getting seriously pissed off with it himself now. Good player too and will be missed.
  15. Cheers, loved that forum. Any idea if they're on here under different usernames? I was the original 'Raithy'.
  16. Apologies for jumping into your thread lads. Quick question, in an early incarnation of p and b there were a couple of Falkirk posters who were good value, anyone else recall Bonzer Belle and Grahamston?
