  1. I completely get the reticence to place trust in the board to spend donations wisely, I also understand that a lot of us put money into the club via season tickets, replica shirts, the trust etc. But as scary says, financial disaster is on the horizon so surely the onus is on the fans to dig deeper if they can. I’m just worried and I’m probably pishing into the wind to be honest, but the thought of no Rovers makes me sick.
  2. Would a monthly donation scheme similar to the one the pars operate work at the Rovers, or are we all so fucking disillusioned that there wouldn’t be sufficient donators to make it worth while? At this moment we have a hardcore of 1300, if say 900 made a monthly £10 donation, that’s 9 grand in the coffers to help with cash flow each month. Perhaps the club could put the feelers out via the excellent social media output that’s in place now? Those accounts figures scare the shit out of me, life with the Rovers is unthinkable, surely...
  3. So, according to some we should sack a bloke for failing to fix three seasons of disaster just four months into the job aye? We really have some utter pant wetters in our fanbase.
  4. I'm sure I read that Lord Lyon passed away a few days ago.
  5. Nah, better off with a tables, ladders and ch... maybe not.
  6. How can a slightly overweight, specy bald bloke from Musselburgh make me so happy? McGlynnio [emoji170][emoji170][emoji170][emoji170][emoji170]
  7. You know it’s time to pack it in when SuperHans starts ripping the pish.
  8. Smith chuntering the same old nonsensical shite. Apparently 'we know how high their standards are', yep we do, not very fkin high at all. The team also 'have to be at that level every game', well that's the managers job to ensure that happens, he failed to achieve that last season and so far there is no sign that he's fixed the consistency issues. As others have said, at times last season it was obvious the team were not listening to his 'instructions', and when a manager is in that sort of situation it really is time to go. We'll obviously struggle with the current injury situation and we'll drop points all over the shop, the fans will go mental but the BOD will wait until he has a full squad before judging him. The performances will still be poor and the style of play will be horrible to watch and by then it'll be too late to salvage the season by ditching him. Happy days
  9. Has there been any official confirmation that the contractors fucked the lines up?
  10. I think he’d come back, there’s unfinished business for him at Starks.
  11. Re Smith, I’ve been in close proximity to him during games and all he does is shout gibberish and swear, he offers nothing in terms of encouragement to the players. He’s like a lobotomised Frank Connor and he will be gone by the time Santa stuffs his fat arse doon the chimney. We should have been bold and gone all out for McKinnon as soon as he became available, either that or someone should have given McGlynn a buzz, at least he’d generate a degree of organisation and commitment.
  12. Excellent rant earlier, thoroughly enjoyed that. But YMPC, jacking it in after just 21 years? C’mon min, you’ve still got years to suffer the pain of supporting a diddy team. I’m fifty years watching the dark blue diddys along the road from you, if nothing else it gives you broad shoulders. Keep the faith.
  13. Our average attendance last season was 1,886. ETA: Just spotted Zens post, apologies to all and sundry.
  14. No new home kit this season, just the away kit that's being replaced.
  15. Exactly. How anyone can attempt to predict the outcome of next seasons league when most clubs have about seven players signed up is beyond me.
  16. Agreed. Hopefully this clear out removes the yellow streak from the squad.
  17. Far too rational a post from a East Fife fan. Definitely not enough exclamation marks.
