Very limited first team experience. I can remember one first team start towered end of 09 10 season, did alright.
Was apparently one of our better younger prospects, good luck to him.

Yes, we do.
But we also don't have a game this weekend and need to keep fitness levels and sharpness up

Would be a disaster if true. He can be the difference between mid table and relegation battle.

Deary me. Graeme Weir aint, and wont be, good enough for this level.

I can understand the fans frustration, Mcbride has done very little to get excited about.
Donaldson however had another good game, the guy is getting better every week!

Hes fucking rank. No thanks.

What would be worse. Staying full time and staying in the league, or going part time and getting relegated..?

We've had at least some number of part-time players since 2005 yet, for reasons completely beyond me, we appear to be phasing part-timers out. Only McGurn remains and I fully expect him to leave at the end of the season. Players like Campbell and Ferry have been valuable to us since promotion so why we're now turning our backs on that route I'm not sure.
Im sure I read somewhere Mcglynn was looking for as much "value for money" as possible from the squad this season. I guess with the style of football he wants to play this year he wants players he can work with every day rather than two or three nights a week.
I would have kept Ferry to be honest but I trust Mcglynns judgement on this one.

Donaldson contract extension confirmed http://raithroversfc.com/cgi-bin/latestnews.cgi?id=3810
Dunno if its press-conference worthy, but some good news anyway.

Graham was one of the best players on the park on sat and was denied by two superb saves.

I'd be astonished if Hibs were interested in Davidson.

If Thomson stays in then Williamson misses out.
Who was also excellent. It's a good dilemma, but I'd say same team.

yeah? Thomson and walker were best players on the park last week....

No changes from last week please.

Oh for f**k sake.

Plastic pitches are a great idea I think. I'd love to see us be involved there, hiring the pitch out for use for 7's and 5's etc.
I agree with Andy though. Look at the Falkirk Stadium as a shining example.

Easy win today lads. Plenty to be confident about.

That's a fantastic deal.

He was genuinely OK for most of his time in goal for us, but his bottle went in the last quarter, particularly in the title decider with Dunfermline. For that reason he'll always be a useless cunt.
Probably right enough.
Didnt help that he went in place of fans favourite Mcgurn, some fans were never going to take to him.
Hey ho, good luck to the lad.

When I'm made out to be stupid by people like Hank Scorpio, Calderon and RRFC 2711 for expressing simple opinions I'll show any intelligence thats out there where the stupidity lies.
Fucking hell.
Chill out, man.

Didn't manage to get along today but my mate who's a Dundee fan was there for both games. He said Hamill was the pick for the usual "boo boys" this afternoon at half time.
Anyone hear/see this?
Wasnt there today but there was some p***k behind me who was getting at the whole team, but giving Hamill and Williamson particular treatment. Was a total arsehole.
Anyway, I'm not worried about lack of goals or anything, cos pre season is glorified training.
Lets look at a selection of results from the 2004/05 pre season.
Huntly - D 3-3
Berwick - L 3-1
East Fife - W 3-2
Gretna - W 0-0 (on pens)
Stranraer - W 1-0
Dundee United - D 1-1
Rochdale - L 2-3
Look at that, 11 goals and 3 wins.
The team then went on to be the worst Raith Rovers side in living memory. But hey, we did well pre season!
Although lets entertain our wee East Fife neighbours. If pre season means so much to them, look at that. Claude Anelka's Raith Rovers teams were one of the biggest laughing stocks in Scottish Football history. An absolute joke team filled with lads who actually couldnt play football. A team that were run ragged by a 400 stone Mark Yardley. A team that defied belief.
AND THEY STILL FUCKING BEAT EAST FIFE

Mcglynn wanted a full time squad if I remember correctly, I'm sure he said he'd get more value for money.
To be honest, I dont think our wages would be that much higher with a threadbare ft squad than a larger mixed one as we have had previously.
