And it was like listening to John Motson when Stef McCluskey was on when we played you earlier in the season...

Is it too much to ask it stays like this and Peterhead win on Tuesday?

May as well get this started. For us the ask is simple, win and it's in our own hands. Not much confidence to take from recent matches against Dumbarton, or others for that matter. Draw means watching scores on Tuesday night with everything crossed. Defeat and an already sizeable uphill task would look like mountain to climb in the playoffs.
Just win Clyde eh! Please...

My maths failed me...they are down.Really? why? Are they not down already? And Goodie struggling to run.0 -
Forfar have to come out this half which should hopefully open up some space for Goody. Huge 45 minutes coming up.

I have absolutely no idea. Would be hilarious if Clyde travelled up to the game and got another positive test result back half an hour before kick off.
I say hilarious, I obviously don't want anyone else catching the virus, but you get what I mean.
Given the way this season has unfolded it would not be the most unbelievable outcome.

Some still waiting on results back.
What happens if results aren't known ahead of kick off? Do we still use the original tests? Will those in charge have any idea and will communicated this to the clubs....probably not.

Are you sure this game is going ahead?
Have players been tested?
Its ludicrous if they haven't been and may be taking to the pitch while positive.
The testing for this match is the reason all this is even a discussion point. Not sure if players will have done subsequent tests after Tuesday's events.

This test was done on Saturday to clear the team to play on Thursday and Saturday(?). Tests done prior had originally cleared the players for Tuesday's game.
This fact seems to be a significant sticking point considering it was repeated on BBC Sportsound that someone had failed to get tests results in a timely fashion for Tuesday's match, which is not remotely true. If the results had came in after the match, they still could be submitted before midnight to clear the team to play(?) , this match could have been played without either side knowing of the positive test which could have been far worse.
The decision to say the match could be played was still wrong as this test result changed the landscape.

Don't even joke about that [emoji1787]Going to be rather hilarious if the positive test turns out to be a false positive.0 -
I would guess that they are done in batches and results released the same. If the protocols put in place meant players were allowed to attend then that is were the fault is.

If we adopted that logic not one player would have been there last night. Everyone in attendance had a negative test for last night's match. Testing already done covered us for Saturday and last night. This was testing for Thursday and the club can't control when we get the results of these.A lot of folk saying Clyde have done nothing wrong but they let a guy without a negative test turn up to play. I just can't fathom how that's not against protocols, regardless if the JRG gave the game the go ahead.0 -
Clyde Statement - "East Fife decided not to play the match"
Darren Young - "we decided not to play the match"
East Fife statement- "we decided not to play the match"
Yes I am paraphrasing the statements but this seems to be why some players are clearly unhappy with us for, despite the exact same message being made by their own manager before we had released anything.
Based on everything put out by all parties, our statement is factually correct. Anger should be directed at those that made the decision that the match should have been played.
I agree with East Fife's decision for what it's worth and I hope the match is rearranged for a week on Thursday.2 -
This test was for Thursday's match. Players had been tested for tonight's match with no issues at that time. Results need to be provided 48hours before kick off.Genuine question as I’ve not got a clue about the rules; does anyone know if there is a deadline on when test results need to be provided by? You’d imagine that would be a protocol? If this was a test done on Saturday, in preparation for the game tonight, the result must surely be made available the day before/morning of kick off for reactive measures to be put in place. If that’s not a protocol then what’s the point?

If it has been the lateral flow tests with a positive does it not need confirmed by PCR test? Clutching at straws here I know.

Still have it in our own hands but we aren't half juggling with it rather than grasping it.
Huge improvement needed on Tuesday.0 -
Howie has been great for us but he has had a shocker today and that 3rd goal pretty much summed his day up.

A draw from this provided Dumbarton lose isn't the worst result.

Not a single shot on target.

No complaints about the result and not going to be too critical of the performance. A match too far for us after recent exploits but very nearly got a draw in the final few seconds. Great goal from Jack, hope we start seeing far more from him.

We are absolutely out on our feet. Not helping ourselves with our use of the ball though.
