if McCann leaves, how would you feel about Keiran MacDonald returning from Raith? I see he's been released and wants to stay part time which is fair enough.  They've also released a couple of players I'd be more than happy to offer something but thats down to the player obviously.  The boys Armstrong, Ugwu and Duku looked decent as well.

    just a thought 😊

Never ever rated Mcdonald thought he was overrated so nah I'll pass, would rather have Quitongo

First i've heard, He was under contract i can't see the club terminating it personally if there's a chance we can still get a small fee for him

Nah I spoke to Thomas just after the season had ended in Glasgow he said his time at the club was up and the club deemed him surplus to requirements for next season and was moving back in with his parents back in France

Watson hasn't been signed as a backup. It was felt we went long too often last season. They wanted to address that by signing a defender who is more comfortable on the ball and will play out from the back.

Our next signing is likely to be a young winger. Agnew rates him as one of the best players he played against last season. Having a wee nosey on his current clubs thread their fans seem to have mixed reviews on him but Murray and Agnew both seem to think he should be playing at a higher level.

No doubt all usual suspects in our support will have him wrote off before he kicks a ball. lol

    It's Frizzell,heard today lol

Assuming every player not yet released is staying then our team at the moment is something like

    Currie

    Watson Kerr Fordyce

    Walker McKay Agnew McCann

    O'Reilly Gallagher Robert

Ritchie and Pyott on the bench as well of course. Expect we'll sign a right back and that's our defence sorted. Still a lot of work needing done in midfield and attack but hopefully we'll be hearing more soon.

Robert has been sent back to France won't be back

Stuart Millar said in January that he was on a "long-term" contract so if that's true then a pre-contract isn't happening. He doesn't really stick to a position tbh he roams across the attacking midfield area of the pitch which is maybe not ideal given he's not good enough yet for Airdrie to build a team around, never mind Livi. I'd personally say he looks best on the left wing cutting inside and I think that's where he prefers to be. Can't see him being ready for Premiership football next season at all given that he's hardly started for us since new year. When he loses the ball himself he works hard to win it back but other than that I'd say you wouldn't get much defensive contribution from him. Technically he is good, and we've seen that with some of his goals and assists this season but he is quite lightweight and struggles when properly marked or up against a more physical side.

His contract ain't up Till next season

More ITK pish. Just what we need on this thread. Who is getting us out of this league? Our invisible chairman? The agent who apparently runs the club? Our genuinely garbage manager, our squad of underperformers/never will performers??? Honestly, wrap the local grapevine whispers presented as facts garbage people. It's embarrassing and the vast majority of the time miles wide of the mark. Falkirk-esque behaviour.

Our chairman is Ferguson,he's at every game he clearly ain't invisible so is Paul Hetherington he's hardly invisible

I thought the stuff i smoked was decent.  What gives you the impression this group of absolute charlatans can suddenly win 4 out of 5 games, 3 of which are at home, where we're an absolute sack of sh*t.

Dumbarton - Comfortably dispatched us early doors.

Falkirk (h) - Smash and grab away from home, i will concede a well defended and executed game plan (for once)

Montrose (a) - Easily one of, if not THE hardest working, fittest teams in the division.  Great manager who plays to his strengths, knows his best team and has proven the last 2/3 years, they are only going one direction.

Forfar (h) - Being at home gives me the fear nowadays, gifting MOST teams points (clyde excluded), proved we can beat them, they look in dire straits, probably our best chance of points.

East Fife (h) - they've added firepower to an already decent front line, guys like austin, wallace, agnew have all been over the course and know the script. I wouldn't trust Murray with a lit cigarette never mind guys like that.

IF we get nothing from tonight's game, I reckon we'll be looking at potentially 3 points from 8 games.  But aye, we should be looking at winning 4 out of 5. wow.

Austin is now back at Kelty hearts that's why they've signed Spence on loan

Anyone know if Paul McKay and Thomas Robert will be alright for Saturday? I'm going to be in a foul mood on Saturday from 14:00 onwards if I have to struggle to identify Dean Ritchie and/or watch Thomson or O'Reilly run the ball out of play under no pressure or shank a cross for 60-90 minutes.

Ritchie couldn't kick the ball that far to shank it out woeful

Just out of interest how many of your squad are full time, have always wondered how the hybrid system works for training etc, if you have 7 or 8 full time can you do much in training apart from fitness, as i say i have no idea of the split between full time & part time players you have. You can see the difference with a full time team like Falkirk but at our level if you can get good part timers think you can get better value.

Like 9 or 10 FTs and the rest are part timers

With Falkirk playing Montrose and Cove playing Thistle this is genuinely a huge game for us. Could move to second and/or be two points off the top with a game in hand if we win, among other permutations. Without being disrespectful this is a game we should be winning if we have any ambitions of achieving promotion. I don't know how we'll line up but I'd like to see us go with something like:

                                Currie

    P. McKay Fordyce Crighton McCann

                        Sabatini Turner

    Robert       Carrick          Connell

                          Gallagher

Subs: Mbayo, Ritchie, J. McKay, Roy, McNeil.

I think that's probably close to what we'll go for though I wouldn't be surprised to see any of Walker, Ritchie or Jack McKay feature. Feeling more optimistic about the rest of the season after the signing of Turner, as is everyone I think. Hopefully we can turn that optimism into a win tomorrow and a bit of momentum.

    Turner is an attacking midfielder

Unfortunately there is an element in our support who would be quite happy for the club to fail...

Time to focus on the rest of this season and who knows where we could end up...

Normally what a club does if something big is brewing they get someone at the club to filter it out to test the waters it happens af every club up and down the leagues
