Happy with the re-signings. Kerr looked as if he was finding his feet and McKay showed glimpses of a good talent. Fine with Roy getting another chance also seems like a confidence thing with him and to be fair never had much of a run in the team . He needs next season to work out as much as we need him so hopefully works in our favour. Pretty confident in player recruitment with miller and Murray don’t think they’ve really done much wrong in terms of players they’ve brought in none stick out as drastically bad - maybe that’s just years of watching dross though emoji23.png. Hope Kieran miller stays and with an increased pool of free agents hopefully we can add one or two quality players.

Bring back Singbo and Marco Andreoni

He never look a "player" at any point. The reason he never got a run in the team was due to his consistently terrible performances when he did play. People were very surprised on here that he was even making sub appearances by the end of the season but now he's the shining hope and the quality? If that's the case then the only battle we'll be in this season is a relegation scrap!

You "hear" a lot, but if you think that Ally Roy was on fire at any point last season it's your "seeing" and "understanding" that are the real issues!

Do you actually see what's coming out of you here?

    Half a season player?

10 Goals from an attacking player is good stuff?

That's it any way good enough?

    Dear oh dear

Ally Roy at the start of the season and during the pre-season looked a real player there but as the season went on his chances got less and less and never really got a run in the team but it you say that he’s shite we’ve all to agree with your op because your a great football manager? Many trophies you won?

    * 10 goals is alright if Carrick and Gall chip in 15-20 each*

Hahaha, state of this post, surely a wind up?

He pulled a strip on most weeks last season and he was garbage for the overwhelming majority of the time. "This kind of negativity"? What saying a pish player is pish? "This kind of negativity"? Not wanting the club to sign up people who were a waste of a wage last year, when the budget will undoubtedly be smaller this season? You've had enough moans and arguments on here over the piece so stick your hypocracy back in it's bag and let people have their own opinions, eh sweetheart?

Ally Roy started the season last season on fire and looked a decent player, obviously they’ve looked at that and said if we can get him to prolong that for half a season we’ve got at least 10 goals guaranteed there’s a player there but he never got a chance next season from what I hear he’s been constantly training from the start of lockdown,it’s a make or break season for Roy but from what I hear it’s a title winning budget we have for next season

In all seriousness, Ray Grant is an excellent player for us. McNiff on the other hand...

For yous don’t mean he’s the best Center mid in the league does it fucking gomis is the best by a mile and who the f**k is tapping never heard of him

    Loving that kit!

Not loving Ally Roy resigning. Think people are being way too generous to him. He's an abysmal footballer and a waste of a wage. When you get to near the end of the season and all people can do to point out his potential is a good performance in the league cup in August you know you've got any absolute turkey on your hands. Terrible finisher, can't beat a man, positionally suspect, workshy. Awful, awful decision.

If your no happy don’t come back simple as we don’t need this kind of negativity at the club it’s Airdrie in league one what do you expect Kenny Black to walk through door after having a bid accepted from Pompey we won’t get right good players until we get out of this league but the guys no pulled the strip on and your already rubbishing him

McKay reminds me of a Stuart Taylor type of player,  I don't think many people could agree on his best position and he played 10 years....  McKay is quietly effective gets around the pitch well, scores important goals from midfield,  many on here are more obsessed about the long throw,  When the long throw was introduced we moved and attacked the ball,  latterly players got lazy and let defenders get the run on the ball,   I would much rather a Paul McKay in the midfield than An unfit Kurt is Roberts..

I wonder who is next to resign hopefully Kerr and big nat

    Big Nat! Good one 😂

I honestly didn't rate him much, but cant argue that he was involved in some valuable moments.

I just think that he needs to develop a bit, particularly in terms of using size to his advantage to own the ball, before I'd be comfortable with him as a first team regular.

Maybe it is how he was used in the team, but I guess we will get a chance to find that out next season

Why does McKay get all this hate and negativity towards him the lad gives his all every week and he’s a young lad and will continue to develop he’s doesn’t need negativity thrown at him it’s league 1 in Scotland we ain’t gonna attract Neymar on a free transfer!

I'm in the minority in not being fussed about not signing Ryan. He had one good season with us, however it is worth remembering that in terms of goals per minutes on the pitch Leighton McIntosh had a better goalscoring record (yes...). Ryan didn't hit penalties, unlike McIntosh, which affects that. But equally, Ryan was playing in a ridiculously attacking side, McIntosh played up on his own in a dire defensive side. Even compared to Callum Gallagher this season, his goals per game isn't massively different.

He's scored 10 league goals in the last 3 years, and didn't add anything to us this year, although I assume he wasn't fully fit. I don't say this to talk him down, only to point out that us being drawn into spending money we can't afford to try and sign him would have been a huge risk, and certainly not something I'd be doing. He was great to watch that season, but the love Airdrie fans have for him does seem a bit over the top for me. I think it's probably a reflection of the poor quality we've had to endure for so long that one good season has him held in such high regard.

There will be a ridiculous amount of players available this season, plenty of really good ones from a higher level. More than any other this is the season not to spend your budget early and to properly see what is available and who we can get. Good luck to Ryan, always put in a real shift for us, but perfectly happy for us to look elsewhere.

Ryan hit penalties the first time Round after beany missed a couple

Sore one to take and if we have beaten off rivals to get max currie I don’t see why we couldn’t have beaten off Stirling to him. Disappointed and surprised he’s dropped so low and to a team who haven’t even been competing at the top end, really thought he was destined for bigger and better things when he left first time round. Genuinely believe he’d have gone on a scored a good few in the run in. But the show goes on and with gal and carrick signed up if we add another decent quality striker our strike force will be as good as any in the league . Wish chucky all the best for the rest of the career glad he can’t come back to haunt us for now.

I’ll give a you a clue.....the mystery benefactor/investor had links with Airdrie ;) and offered Andy Ryan crazy wages for a part time level and a hefty lump sum upfront :o
