    Aye it does!

Benezema would have to be involved in play in the 0.01 seconds between the Valverde and Fabinho touching the ball (then Konate hits it).

Nah, don't think so.  Valverde could have kicked the ball backwards or in the opposite direction to Benzema, and Benzema would still have been offside.  The direction the ball goes in, or whether it moves at all, doesn't matter in that situation.  I think (!).

The ref must've counted what was surely a block tackle by Konate on Valverde as actually an unintended deflection on a Valverde shot followed by a second unintended deflection on that Valverde "shot" by Fabinho.

That is such an enormous stretch to view it that way.

Yep, looks like it.  The touch from Valverde - I can barely see a touch from him but there has to be a touch from the attacker, surely, otherwise there can't be an offside offence - doesn't have to be going toward Benzema for it to make Benzema offside.

Did the Real player even touch the ball though? It looked like 3 Liverpool players had a touch.

Indeed.  I couldn't see a touch from the Real player - all the "it has to be a deliberate touch by the defender" stuff surely only applies if the attacking player has also played the ball?  f**k knows though TBH.

    THIS. IS. BARCLAYS.

I just hope if City win this one late, Tyler has some sort of immortal line set up worthy of the occasion.

Something that convey how you'll never see anything similar ever again.

Martin Tyler makes compilations of his favourite lines from his own commentaries, and makes his entire family listen to them on long drives.

    How's this going?

The Club is aiming to inspire fans with an exciting brand of football that has its roots in homegrown talent. The philosophy sets out how the Club will strive to produce winning performances that get supporters up off their feet, with intensity and pace. Adopting many of the principles which have brought the Club successes over the years, the philosophy is about creating a recognisable style of play that is firmly centred around the development of homegrown talent.

I'm confused by the term "get supporters up off their feet".  Do they want us to jump in the air?

Hayes delivery in the second half was fantastic. Still an asset to the squad. As long as he's not in defence.

Folk questioning why Hayes is still getting picked are either idiots or they just aren't watching the games.  He's been our best player in a handful of matches and mostly fine in an awful season.

Friday afternoon spent at The Chester in the company of these gentlemen, with Richard Gordon fielding the questions. The event was meant to happen 2 years back to coincide with the 40 year anniversary of the 79/80 league title, but better late than never……

Front row - ?,?, Jarvie, Doog, McMaster, Clark.

Being born a week before we won the title is my excuse for not knowing a few of them!
