Some of those close-ups in the Aberdeen-Dundee game were a pain in the bahookie.
A close-up shot of a player as he's running up to take a penalty kick must break some kind of golden rule of fitba broadcasting. Eejits.

According to the BBC Scotland Fixtures page just now, there are no Scottish matches on Tuesday 3rd May. Better tell the folk at Links Park and, probably, Firhill that their matches have been cancelled.
I think this has happened in previous seasons - the BBC's fixtures system seems unable to process the concept of playoffs. Well, the Scottish playoffs anyway.... bloody annoying and further proof that they don't give a shiny f**k about Scottish fitba.

Absolutely tremendous sweetiewifery from Tyler and Neville there over the kid chucking some rolled up paper at Grealish
Aye they were properly ripping their knickers over it. Tyler said something like "it's great to have fans back in the grounds after lockdown, but with that comes responsibility". U wot m8?!

“Why did you take Charlie Adam off?”
”You’ll need to ask Charlie!”
He's genuinely off his head.
Yep, it's great stuff. When he's not your manager.
In that situation, if you took him off because he was injured, just say that. If you took him off because you've fallen out with him, then just bloody lie and say it was because he was injured. Instead he comes out with pish like that, and it's suddenly a thing.

Reminiscent of The Donald's portfolio of evidence proving widespread electoral fraud after he got punted out of office after four years.

Three goals in one match? And a clean sheet? Nah, can't see it.

Who even is Tomy RIng? Does anyone under the age of 60 know who they are talking about?
I actually don't mind the Tommy Ring stuff because his obscurity is kind of part of the joke (I think). A little ongoing inside joke in a long-running show is okay by me. Maybe I'm an Off the Ball da though....

Cove FC
This is a much better name for them IMHO.
Anyway, massive congratulations to Cove [forgotten their last name], particularly the ex-Dons contingent, and also to their main man on here who keeps their match threads going and is a top lad.

Is that the Kop going "wild" then? Lame.

Tam banging on about Engelbert Humperdinck, and threatening to actually play his song on the show. Ooft.
He seemed quite restrained when the news of the Rangers red card and the Motherwell equaliser came through too...
Alan Soutar seems like a good lad though.

'Easier to give that decision than not to give it'.
Yeah that's not the rules though m8.
Ha, that is brilliant.
"Well, I didn't see a foul, but he fell over so I suppose I'll just give a penalty".
Fortunately yer average ref is more competent than yer average commentator.

That link to the Ricky Little interview from Jane Lewis was 20 seconds of pure torture.

That statement is class. Love the way the league chairman just fires his mobile number in at the end, brilliant.

Fitba law dictates that every match in April and May must be either a deid rubber or a cup final. Some matches are more cup-final'ery than others, however. And don't even get me started on "must-win games".....
1-1 with a late and slightly suspicious Lewis Ferguson penalty for us.

Only people who believe any old shite their club tells them would think there's any significant advantage to having the training facilities next to the ground. See also - "we'll be playing European matches at Tannadice by 2022 because of [some unspecified and unproven reason that doesn't exist]".
f**k Kingsford.

I think there are plans to extend the main stand considerably. Whether that will be this summer or not I'm not entirely sure.
We need terracing as you say around the 3 other sides as with almost 1300 there yesterday people were 2/3 deep in some areas and the viewing angles diminish. It needs elevation from terracing to accommodate a bigger crowd.
Aye that's what Balmoral misses just now. Yesterday I got in maybe 15 minutes before kick off on the assumption it would be a big crowd because, although I'm tall, I really don't like standing in the second row on the flat ground - not ideal especially when you're used to sauntering into the ground on the stroke of 3pm! Assuming they go up and the crowds increase a bit in the Championship, I would hope that some more terracing or seating would get built.
Haar aside, I enjoyed that game yesterday and fair play to the Alloa fans who showed up in decent numbers and contributed a bit of fun. They were the better team in the first half and really unlucky not to get ahead. It was ruthless from Cove in the second half though.

Campbell looks like he could do a decent job at this level for us next season.

Yesterday saw a reappearance of the Liam Gallagher 'extra coconut on the Korma' anecdote. He's slowly and surreptitiously compiling a greatest hits collection.
The Liam Gallagher story had Didn't Happen Of The Year written all over it.

And as absolutely fucking hilarious as the Embra and Dundee yo-yos recent travails have been, they were at least conducted with some level of decorum and dare I say it dignity.
Well, not the last Hearts relegation. They went to court FFS.

Whether these are five dead rubbers or we are in a genuine relegation battle still remains to be seen. Not sure we can trust many of this lot if it comes to that.
I would say that right now those five games aren't dead rubbers. They aren't dead rubbers until they're dead rubbers, if that makes sense. Or in other words you can't award dead rubber status to games retrospectively. IMHO.
On the game, it was brutal. The only players who got close to playing at a reasonable level were Barron and Gallagher. Well done to County who played a good away game and took their inevitable chance - all season we've basically gifted opponents goals whether they pressure us or not. Awful.
