Ayrshire Prem / 1st div winners and relegations
CFCbhoy replied to 4-5-0's topic in Amateur Football
So his Last act as hurlford boss was to give a 3 point gift to shortlees. Not knowing that it was screwed their star player from playing in the the final of the James scott next week I don't know if he accepted it, just heard that Cunny approached him. I will be surprised if he takes it but stranger things have happened -

According too their manager they struggle too get a team on park most weeks. They did lose all their best players so hopefully they can sort it out as they are a big asset too the premier -

Yip. Shows the lack of class imo. Unless of course the current management was made aware. I very much doubt that -

The worst kept secret in the ammies that he has already been offered the job and rejected it. Who said loyalty was dead in football. A bold decision and one he may come to regret come xmas time He was offered it whilst the existing management team are still in place?? Oh dear....... -

HT v Shortlees tonight. Pretty much a title decider. Predictions? Think HT will shade it -

Rather than casting aspersions wouldn't it just be fair too say Ardeer weren't out of second gear because like most clubs at this stage of the season they have nothing too play for in terms of their league position. The only thing to be settled in the Premier is the winners -

Sometimes relegation from the premier is a blessing in disguise. Allows teams too be competitive again which can be an attraction to players. Only one from two teams is ever going too win the premier league -

I was at the game and it was extremely comfortable for HT who were never in any danger. Glenburn do have the capabilities to beat anyone on their day as you have just proven by earlier victories over the top 2. If they win Ayrshire then that will prove they have it in them to win the big trophies but sadly just like the league i believe they will fall short -

Duffy? As in the Duffy at crosshouse to be the next shortlees manager? Aye. Heard Duffy can't commit too training though and that's why he stayed at a lower level so be interesting too see if he can commit too management. In terms of a player/manager he's had a good career but in terms of a premier player now he's miles off -

Rumours seem to be centred round Mark and Duffy but agree with you none of the parties concerned seem to be saying anything -

Well to be fair they have been close too winning league a couple of times but when it comes too the crunch they inevitably lose too HT or Shortlees -
Younger refs, in my experience, are far better in all aspects. They keep up with the play which is key, they genuinely are far more respectable and approachable than the older more experienced ones. I think all us non-refs unanimously agree we would not do it for 40 quid so that speaks volumes. We wouldn't have a game without them and without a doubt there are some howlers out there who make the rules up as they go along! On the whole though the majority try their best

I used them as an example. My point is he's involved with the two teams because he's from Hurlford. Don't get para am no having a dig at your beloved Shortlees. -

It was certainly no classic but think the park contributed too that. It was a shit heap. I thought the ammies had held on for a point until wee Andy's piledriver. What a strike it was. I'm guessing because they are two Hurlford teams and hes from Hurlford too?? Or do you think he should sponsor Shortlees being from Hurlford? -
