  1. Neil Parry would've been quicker getting a tram out to try and put that challenge in. For such an experienced goalkeeper it's so naive to dive in having taken a fortnight to get there.
  2. McCrorie's really atoned for that first goal with the last ten minutes here. Really dominant, hasn't given the Rovers a sniff of a chance.
  3. Nothing takes the sting out of a last minute corner quite like the phrase "Armstrong to swing this in", eh? Agree with the comment above about Abraham. When the striker on the bench can't get the last five minutes in a game we're losing, he's in trouble.
  4. Dropped out after the initial line-ups had been announced. No idea on the extent of the issue.
  5. This has "goal in the first couple of minutes followed by 28 minutes of needless exertion" written all over it.
  6. Aye, he's done brilliantly there. I don't know if he's guessed, anticipated or reacted, but he's done so well to nick the ball away from Armstrong's left hand side. If that same chance falls to a right footed player, I think it's game over.
  7. Duku really doesn't offer a huge amount outside of the six yard box. It's felt like the game turned at half time, but really it was Gullan going off. Gullan has much more industry, gets back and forward a lot more, both disrupting Livi's midfield and stretching their defence. Without that, we've not been able to get up the park anywhere near as often or as convincingly. On a more positive note, Kai Kennedy really isn't shy about doing his running. A lot of the loan players we've had from Rangers were keen to play when they were on the ball but had little-to-no inclination to do any tracking back or get their hands dirty. Kennedy couldn't be further from that, really sticks to his task both in and out of possession.
  8. I don't agree with this suggestion that Duku has fallen out of McGlynn's good books for any reason other than form. He's had plenty minutes since Christmas and done next to nothing with them.
  9. If Duku can find the same space in front of him that Gullan has, he could do some real damage. I fear, however, that the linesman's right arm is about to get a bit more exercise. Now, if Alan Forrest falls in the box a second or two after there's been contact, will a referee give a f**k?
  10. Sibbald lucky to get away without a booking for that. Couldn't live with Hendry.
  11. I'm finding it really difficult to tell Rovers players apart. Camera position just seems too far away, and the picture quality is garbage. Saw that though! What a babe.
  12. Commentary being done through a CB radio? "Final score from Almondvale is 10-4, good buddy."
  13. It's an incredibly short time frame for someone to "lose the plot" though, no? John McGlynn could sign Colonel Gaddafi to play in goal for next season and he'd still be in credit for the week.
  14. John McGlynn has steered a squad reliant on a 38 year old Iain Davidson into the upper reaches of the Championship. I look forward to Christophe Berra leading us out in the opening game of the 2023 Europa League qualifiers.
  15. He'll be taking Davidson's squad place. That's a like-for-like improvement. Could there be other options out there who'd offer a greater improvement? In terms of sheer technical ability and fitness, almost certainly. But with a squad as young as ours, it's no bad thing to have a couple of old heads around.
  16. If Kieran MacDonald isn't available for Livingston, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Cooney came in to make up a back three and Armstrong got to play wing-back rather than full-back.
  17. Murray was good for us in League One, and I was disappointed when he left, but he was more of a utility player than a standout first pick for the centre of defence. He played across the back line for us and (if I remember rightly) at least once in a holding midfield role. He was 7 or 8/10 every week, wherever he played. Never a disaster, but with clear weaknesses. I'd take him back at the Rovers, but I think he'd slot in as the third best central defender. You could make the argument that he's better than Benedictus, but on the last few months showing he'd definitely be behind Musonda. Talk of a move to a much bigger club seems very premature. It seemed to stem from paper talk when he was scoring goals earlier in the season and I'd be surprised if anyone outside of the bottom two or three Premiership clubs had sustained an interest. I'd have thought the most logical move for him would be staying where he is or getting a sideways-ish move to somewhere like Dundee to pick up some extra money, and hope for a title challenge next year. The Championship looks like his level, and I think to get a proper look in at Premiership level he'll need to make himself key to a title winning defence and go up with the team. Of the two, I'd rather have Watson. While he might not be as dominant in the air, he's a much better all round centre half.
