  1. Add Tait to the "should've scored" list.
  2. Keeper might've done better if he hadn't toppled over backwards. Still, got to credit the striker for being in the right place and putting it away. If he plays that badly for 44 minutes but bags a goal at the end of every half, he'll do fine by me.
  3. That backheel at Tynecastle really bought him a lot of credit he probably hasn't deserved, eh?
  4. Anyone got a real handle on the shape? It looks to me like it's the 4-4-2 diamond that a lot of people were clamouring for, although there's a lot of rotation within that midfield. I don't know what you'd call that. A midfield dreidel?
  5. What a ball over the defence that was. No excuse not for hitting the target, obviously, but that pass... oof.
  6. Rovers playing a first choice goalkeeper and back four, with a by-and-large second string rest of the side. I can't pretend to know a huge amount about the Albion, but eight changes from Saturday suggests they're not going hell for leather to force a meet-up with Livi. If the Rovers don't win this one fairly comfortably, it's likely to be confirmation that we've progressed through "frustrating" and into fully-blown "slump".
  7. I'd take being shot, poisoned and thrown into an icy river over having to read that again.
  8. Fair to say there's not a huge appetite for this one then?
  9. Was going to say the same thing. I'm not Duku's biggest fan, but he justified his inclusion today. Didn't offer much, but did more than Ugwu has recently and our forward play got noticeably worse when Vaughan and Duku went off. Really not a great day for us, though. The same problems still very apparent. Yes, we got a goal, but it was one of only a few chances we created. We've got the Albion on Tuesday night. Use it as a free hit. Stick all four forwards on from the start and see who can make an impact...
  10. Greig Spence was like that for us. The more time he had to think about it, the worse his finishing got.
  11. The commentary team sounded so unexcited I thought the flag must've been up!
  12. Is that both teams scoring before either keeper has made a save?
  13. Ndaba looks quality, eh? The referee has been quite happy to let some fairly rough stuff go and Duku has the capacity to bully defenders, but Ndaba has coped better than most would at this level.
  14. I think that now means that more than half of our goals in 2021 have been scored by defenders.
  15. That booking looked harsh. I don't know if the referee thinks Musonda has shoved the forward over, because he certainly came away with the ball at his feet.
  16. "Here for a point" - we've got three strikers on the park, neebur. Our midfield is noticeably narrower than it has been since Ethan Ross left. Hasn't quite clicked yet, but you can see the theory.
  17. That one delivery from Vaughan was better than every set piece we've had since the Alloa game.
  18. Jings, it's changed again. Like watching taped highlights of Football First.
  19. Yup. Feels like the saturation or something is way too high. Could do with a bit of a zoom out, too. I'd be happier with a wider view, particularly when the ball is in Ayr's half. Enjoying the commentary though.
