Aye , defence looks really good . I still have reservations about nditi . Matty Allan , Morrison & Hutchison all good ball players

I was messaging a colleague, who’s a Montrose supporter, after the game, he said he would love Montrose to sign “pineapple heed” as he called him.
I personally highly rate Roberto, one of my favourite players right now, I think we’re very fortunate to have him and all his colleagues in defence, we need to be strong at both ends of the pitch, the strike force is getting there, the defence looks like it could well be the best in the league.

I used to be able to watch the games down here in England,  has the FAFC TV thing stopped now ?

They had to stop livestream something to do with the Premier league, Premiership and the TV companies. Our live stream was run from the pie shop which has reverted to being a Bridie dispensary again now Covid is no longer considered a “thing”

Is that not us started the past 3 campaigns away from home now?

    Bonnyrigg away last season

    annan the season before.

now away to Stenny first game!

Yeah, it’s disappointing that. I’m also disappointed that we start and end the season with away fixtures, both against sides we’ve considered bogey teams over the last couple of seasons.

Also lives locally, if Ray goes ( and let’s face it we all expected it sometime, just this was a hell of a time for it to happen) then McInally would be my first choice too.

    Great timing this !

I think we all knew Ray would not be a long term manager with us, he’s better than Scottish League 2, but I imagined he would see us either promoted or well on our way and in a good place before he was tempted away. Terrible timing if he goes, which if he’s wanting to talk to them then he’s halfway out the door, if not now then soon. McInally is a decent shout, decent manager in lower leagues and will have plenty connections in the game.

I don't think there is a more obvious appointment for Forfar than McInally.

This is karma for the horrible words over the summer regarding young Matty Aitken.

Have it right round you with a cherry on top lads.

Honest opinions are not horrible words, a fresh start may do Matty the world of good but I suspect you’ll soon be sharing our opinion….

Hutchison was decent for us but I do find it surprising we’ve signed another Centre half.

Munro up front this season? 🤣

Honestly, it’s not as daft as it sounds, many a mobile centre half can make a good forward (note I said forward and not striker), he certainly wouldn’t get bullied and fall over like Aitken.

Just saw this and it says he was highly sought after before signing with them.

can't help but feel we might of been one of the clubs interested since we're going for this more local based approach this season.

I think we might have been interested, if we weren’t we should have been. Chances are Montrose pay a little more and play at a higher level so we would have lost out anyway.

Lewis Milne just signed for Stirling, thought he could have been coming back.

A good player and maybe was a possibility that he could have come back but chose playing at a higher level for more money.

I know after hearing rumors about how he was off the pitch especially last season that people here were put off Russell McLean (me included), However it's been a couple weeks and we haven't announced a striker yet and he's not signed anywhere either. he's also one of few free agent strikers about right now so at this stage I'd take him, but only if it's as the backup or squad player cause despite never being fit for a full season he does have a decent goal record over his career.

No just no, harmonious dressing rooms win, negative bad attitude players don’t. I don’t rate him as a player and rather play Andy Munro as centre forward than sign that lazy git.

From what I can see only players contracted for next season are:

    Marc McCallum

    Roberto Nditi

    Darren Whyte

    Andy Munro

    Tomas Brindley

    Craig Thomson

So yeah not many, personally can't argue against any of them guys too much, Hope there's a clear plan been worked out.

McCallum, Nditi and Whyte could all, and have, played at a higher level. I really hope Darren’s injury issues are behind him now.

Munro, Brindley and Thomson are decent players at our current level so happy enough they’re staying (assuming they all are?)

A decent base for Ray to build his own team around, onwards and upwards 👆👍🏼🤞

If the future of the club depends on tolerating neds who confront opposition supporters after a title win it's not much of a future.  Assaulting 10 year olds at an away match doesn't bode well for the future either.  No action just invites the behaviour to get worse.  It's not a time for the board to do a 3 wise monkeys cosplay, as you appear to advocate.

We have the opposite problem at Station Park, the young ones aren’t allowed to fart without the stewards pushing them around. I didn’t really see what happened at the end but I heard all about it on the bus, it’s not right charging across even to chuck stuff at, spit at and abuse our noisy young supporters but when women and children are on the receiving end too and back in the bus visibly upset by what just happened to them then it’s gone way too far.

All that aside, congratulations to Stirling Albion, very worthy champions, good luck next season lads.

Actually hoping McKinnon goes the longer he's been at club the worse football we've played has been, the last few games have ended up being worse than anytime during Irvine, tactics have been woeful

He’s been steadying the ship and using largely Irvine and Malcolm’s players and done a great job. Do not judge him until he’s built his own squad over the summer.

As a die hard bino who has followed the team through some shit, I must apologise for the wee fanny's today running over to you guys! These idiots don't represent our club and will almost be old firm fans in a season! Embarrassing and put a dampner on it for myself today!

Thanks, I considered commenting on that last night but refrained as I didn’t want to tar all Stirling fans with the same brush as I know that the majority are sound. All clubs have a small portion of supporters that are fannies.
