Some of the shouts at Irvine from the terraces were embarraisng. Had Elgin pretty much pinned into their own half the whole game .

I thought, bar the two calamities, we played some amazing football today. It’s hard when the opposition has everyone behind the ball and everyone is a clogger or a cart horse3 -
Two calamities by us cost us points but in the many, many years I’ve been following the Loons I’ve never seen such atrocious officials, they truly lost the plot.

Elgin tomorrow, which Forfar will turn up?
Hopefully the one which plays positive attacking football for the whole of the 90 minutes.
Jim Weir returns along with other ex Loons Daniel Hoban and Chris Antoniazzi

This aged well. Hooked after 25 minutes in a 3-0 pumping today.
Every dog has its day, his was last week.

Part of me is optimistic about Saturday but part of me has terrible feeling of foreboding.

Not near as good as QP or Stranraers.
It's the bare minimum effort. Passable.
Thanks for the quick reply, so better than nothing but not great.

How decent is the live stream from Dens? My two sons are desperate to see the game but me and missus are currently testing Covid positive so can’t take them.

I’d actually disagree with most of that post, I thought Hussain was one of our best players on Tuesday and today he’s been decent.
Nditi has been pulled out of position trying to cover Munro. Other than that, he’s not done anything bad.
Cue either of them making a massive mistake this half.
On another note, some of our younger fans spend more time trying to pick fights with other fans than watching the game. Acting like idiots is what led to them being given into trouble before, why repeat it.
I didn’t see Hussain on Tuesday but thought he was decent today, he hasn’t impressed me before now but looked like a player today.
it was two of our younger fans causing trouble today, one a regular “offender” another I don’t think I’ve seen before. The rest, to their credit, behaved and seemed to have good banter with the away fans. Talking of the away fans, several grown men getting coaxed into trying to fight with two school laddies didn’t make them look good. The empty alcohol cans on the west terrace and the two flares showed them for what they are, I’m so relieved our new pitch wasn’t damaged by the flares, the first one the guy who threw it was caught and thrown but managed to get back in
Our stewards really are poor.

Can’t believe we didn’t put the lights on tonight was dark when they took the penalties.
Also pitch is so much smaller this season.
The pitch is smaller probably due to the amount of aging players we have
though that’s more reason to put on the floodlights

I’m hoping the Loons will be challenging for the title without there being a financial powerhouse like last season making an easy job of winning. Realistically I’d like to think we’ll be in a playoff position come the end as I expect Stenny and Annan to be strong and Bonnyrigg are an unknown quantity. As long as we’re not fighting for survival, like every other supporter on here, that scares me, one bad season and you could be gone

Ok the got a thumping last night. What did we learn?
What I don't understand is why we picked a full time team to be our first warm up. Why couldn't we play Forfar West End or some team of the same calibre ....give the lads a run for fitness and some confidence of having shots and maybe even a few goals.
I totally agree, start with a, hopefully, easy tie to ease them in then work up to playing a fit full time side who already have had games. Choosing the opposition last night was purely down to Gary’s pal being their gaffer.

Two about to be announced if the club’s last tweet is hinting the way I read it…..

Do you think we're going to sign anyone else, or dip into the loan market? We've had a very quiet transfer window which makes me think Irvine is content with his squad.
Also, are we releasing a new kit or just keeping the same 3 kits as last season?
There’s a new home kit coming.
It has been quiet, fairly happy with who we have signed so far but whilst I think we’ll be top three I can’t see us winning the league without more firepower up front.

Also watched the highlights, why were the Forfar support booing at the end ? That was a penalty every day of the week.
I’m not sure they were booing the penalty as such, though from the other end it did look like a dive, the highlights show it was a penalty and a stupid one to give away. Much of the booing was due to poor second half display and what many saw as inept tactics from the management.
I know the rules are the rules but I don’t think that third and fourth place teams should in the playoffs, it should just be second bottom against second top. Just my opinion and I understand the interest, excitement and revenue side of things.1 -

Hopefully take the spoils back at station park!
1-0’s not the worst score line to come away from Annan with.
It’s only half time

Could someone kindly inform the commentator that our keeper is called McCallum and not Mahallam

I’m not too sure this is going to be as straightforward as some fans think.
Annan are in the play offs on merit, it’s no fluke.
taking nothing for granted here.
Totally agree, this is like two cup ties, form goes out the window and previous results between the two mean nothing.

KeltyHearts TV doesn't show the sending off at the weekend.
What happened?
I first heard it was violent conduct but the story now seems to be dissent, God knows what he supposedly said to merit a straight red?

You must’ve been at a different game to me
Smug is never a good look. Do you really think Elgin deserved anything from that game today?
