  1. #mods. Ban pedantry. Please. I’ll sign up for platinum if that would help?
  2. I like the way you’re thinking. I reckon we need to raid the biscuit tin and put in a bid for Estonia’s Kaja Kallas.
  3. I think this is the big failing in the Independence movement. It seems that either you agree with their world view in its narrow entirety or you are cast out as an extremist loonball. There are many fringe issues that shouldn’t really, but seemingly do, trigger the party faithful. Only with a much broader (ok, 15-20% broader) church than is currently permitted will it have any chance of success. @Granny Danger for one, I’m looking at you…
  4. Used to chief, used to. I'm afraid the LEZ finally ground me into submission. I'm in Glasgow a fair bit for work and parking on the fringes of the city centre and walking in actually felt quite virtuous last summer. Doing that for six months of winter, invariably turning up to meetings soaked, and I'm afraid the novelty wore off very quickly. And because of the LEZ in Glasgow, and its imminent arrival in the other cities, values were dropping like a stone so, with a very heavy heart, I'm afraid it had to go. So the eco-zealots win and I've ordered a hybrid that actually I wouldn't otherwise have needed. My gas guzzler went to a dealer down Preston way where it will continue to provide its apparently noxious but hugely comfortable transport for some lucky bugger for many years and miles to come.
  5. @19QOS19 yourvmulti quote seems to have mucked up the reply function but: 1. I (and I may be wrong) think this conversation came about by way of people’s behaviour on dual carriageways or motorways so we were talking around 70mph limits; and 2. the National Speed Limit applies to the single track roads you describe so that’s 60mph, not 30mph. No wonder that van was keen to get past you!
  6. Just about the first and most obvious rule of single track roads - there are signs everywhere - is ‘use passing places to allow overtaking’. Why people feel the need to deliberately impede someone else on the road still baffles me.
  7. Some right roasters on here this evening. Thoroughly confirming the need for a thread such as this to spot the wrang uns. Why on earth would anyone want to turn their car into a mobile roadblock? Baffling. If the driver behind is being such an erse then do yourself a favour and let him have his accident somewhere further up the road instead of it involving you. Or if you care about it that much away and join the Poileas.
  8. Boyd made the point that to have the reputation of missing so many chances yet to still score 20 this season you have to regularly be in possession of the ball in a position to score so he must be doing something right.
  9. Sun out? Roof down Put the nose into overdrive! 1f041653-1b4c-46c6-a929-bfe128ffdd32.mp4
  10. But he wouldn’t be; he’d just be the guy who got Humza punted. How it goes from there will be down to the new First Minister. It’d be down to the grown ups (steady) to decide whether they could unite behind a single candidate for the gig.
  11. As are it seems the Politicians’….
  12. It’s a bit of an oxymoron to say they’ve done nothing but at the same time given landlords what they deserved, but I’ll take it at face value for now. Can you show me your workings to back up your assertions please?
  13. You make a valid point. But 20 years old. And in the intervening time the incumbents have managed to muck up the private rented sector for both landlords and tenants while at the same time denuding Councils of any money to deal with housing, preferring to channel it to Housing Associations who don’t build fast enough.
  14. “Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce to you your new Deputy First Minister - Ash Regan!!”
  15. And what happens if you get caught with a Roger Moore? (Asking for a friend…).
  16. Ash Regan on the radio sounding very much like an abstentionist. Unless maybe her boss tells her to do otherwise...
  17. It may yet be proven the work of some high level 4D chess by Humza. Knowing the SNP are on the slide those 8 Green list seats might become very valuable if Labour secure their purported surge.
  18. ^^^ takes corners at 35mph and slingshots out to get to 58mph on the straights.
  19. My dog must’ve eaten something rancid on Friday. That could be a picture of him at 4am on the Saturday. A fun weekend was had by all..
