More signings required for us in this transfer window the squad depth is awful.
Bit of a joke this betfred cup ruling of not being allowed to play trialists.2 -
Couldn’t make the game last night due work commitments, catching up on the highlights tonight & Jeezo how does Andy Munro get a game?! Absolute bombscare.

Lets be honest last season he wasn’t passing much cause lets face it who did he have to square the ball to in the box?
Matthew Aitken...
Now he’s got Hilson & Baird I think we’ll finally see him creating chances for strikers that can actually put chances away!
For me he’s probably the second name on the sheet, first being Marc McCallum.
He’s got bags of talent & ability and is a pleasure to watch week in week out!0 -

Thoughts on josh peters
Has the potential to do well in the lower leagues, if he gets decent service he’ll do well, penalty box type striker but work rate isn’t the best & his touch isn’t too great.
Good player for league two, hope he does well for yous, really liked him in his first season with us but this season he didn’t reach the same heights!0 -
Thoughts on Gary Fraser?
We’ve just signed him after his release from yous?
Too good for league one? Or would that be around his level?0 -
Gary Fraser signed after his release from Partick Thistle.

so ricky little travels from ayrshire twice a week to training in perth and further for home games than yule does for both. yule is at it chasing the bucks that cove are throwing about
Mare money at Cove as a star player or stick it as a bit part player for Arbroath on less wages?
I know which i’d choose & a lot more people would choose, footballers want money nowadays just like anyone does!
Surely if you had a choice for a better paying job & less travelling you’d take it?0 -
William Muir’s signing now confirmed today,
Be interesting to see if he’s happy to play second fiddle to Marc McCallum!0 -
Judging by the squad list on the website it looks like we’re not keeping -
Josh Peters
Scott McBride
Grant Adam
Dean Brotherston
Also no Mark Millar on the list so guessing he’s not accepted his contract offer.
Haven’t seen any confirmation on Willie Muir signing either.?0 -
Grant Adam was excellent is his time with us - and the fans loved him - however he doesn’t seem to have set the heather alight anywhere else.
I will always remember him swinging from the crossbar and doing forward rolls after beating Ayr in the play offs a few years back.
In all fairness he didn’t really do much wrong with us, he was a good shot stopper, panicked and flapped at the ball a few times & always gave you a scare but all in all was a decent keeper, then he was injured & in came Marc McCallum who has kept him out of the side due to his performances!
Good luck to him if he does sign for Dumbarton!2 -

Thomas Reilly & Darren Whyte sign on,
Michael Kennedy signs a new deal as well!4 -
-
Think he’s very similar to a certain Lewis Milne myself..
Yeah I can see a lot of similarities to Milne as well actually, just a shame he didn’t want to stick around & went to Montrose!0 -
Looks a good wee player Thomas Reilly does going by this highlight reel!
Haven’t seen enough of him personally to make a comment!0 -
Agree with this wholeheartedly, in many games this season , Saturday included , we have resorted to playing hoof ball from the back , partly I believe because we don’t have anyone in midfield who is prepared to take the ball from our centre halves , McCord is the option required , anyway congratulations to all players and staff for giving us another great season , and a wee message for DC , please please please next season do away with ZONEAL marking [emoji846]
Not like Dick to revert his sides to playing hoof ball, [emoji102]0 -
Cammy Ballantyne right back will probably get released by United. Callum Crane has been released from Hibs, been great for Alloa this year. Latter will probably find a Championship team though.
Replacing Scott Martin will be very difficult.
I know ToB played central midfield quite a bit with Forfar maybe a shout pushing him on with Hammy and Little behind him.
ToB played cm a few times for us but was always far better at Centre Half, looked far more comfortable there!0 -
Opinions on John Baird? obviously was on loan at you guys for the second half of the season, how did he do?
Just signed on as a player/ assistant manager for us!0 -
In all seriousness if yous don’t want Mccord fit or unfit, I’d welcome him with open arms at Station Park!
Absolutely class player for this level!0 -
Surely only one man to replace Dick if he goes to Raith, Step up Mr Todd Lumsden....[emoji6]

He came on at half time in a game (annan perhaps) and he mustve passed the backwards about 6 times, constantly took the easy option and didn't effect the game. Good luck to the lad but when you are chasing promotion you cant afford passengers.
That sounds like you're describing Bryan Hodge there as well....0 -
How does that go again?

Very interesting listening to Jim’s interview, mentioning he’ll need to ship players out before he can get players in, who could be the casualties? And what team would want to spend money on any of our bench?
