  1. If he does go I think Alex Neil will be tempted if he is promised some kind of money to spend to replace the quality that has left. Although you can point to the fact we have lost Mcginn and it looks like Hayes is away there was never a good time to lose McInnis. Problem is it was always going to happen sooner or later, just need to make sure we make the right move now. Waiting for the Daily Record headline now, Jimmy Calderwood – “I could make Aberdeen the third force once again”. Mad things happen
  2. I have changed my opinion of the Sunderland job I thought at one stage it was too good for McInnis to turn down but am not so sure now. He damaged his reputation down there after making a mess of the Bristol city job he can’t really afford to do that again. Everything points to the Sunderland job being a poisoned chalice, they are deep in debt and most likely won’t have the player budget to come back up, which is what most of the fans will expect. If he end up getting the sack he won’t be given a decent job in England again. I think he will be given other opportunities down there which will prove less risky.
  3. Don’t really get the Hayes v Cummings debate, one is at the start of his career with the potential to go on and become much better the other is 30 and has possibly reached his peak in terms of performance levels. Either way shame for both teams to lose their best player.
  4. Didn’t this kind of attitude get you in some kind of bother before?
  5. This is the deal we should be going after, as much as I don’t want him going to Celtic I wouldn’t be happy with us selling him to Cardiff either. They tried to take the piss in January on more than one occasion we should tell them where to go.
  6. It is a funny one I would have probably been happy to take him on loan again at the end of the season. But with the departure of Hayes and that at one point it seemed like we were in the market to get Christie permanently a loan deal just seems a bit of a kick in the teeth. We need to be looking at building squad for the next 2-3 years, a loan deal isn’t going to help that.
  7. Am sure some would disagree but I think our team from last season would have beaten that Sunderland side comfortably
  8. They are after him to play in the league for them rather than the champion’s league. They will fancy making the group stages and will need a bigger squad of players.
  9. I have lost count of the times i have lost my voice booing Hayes, the guys a waster.
  10. Everything would seem less disastrous if we knew the manager was staying. I think there is plenty of players about which are McInnis like signings who could come in and do a very good job for us. Greg Stewart would be a perfect type of player to replace McGinn, a winger come striker who has proved himself at this level. Obviously getting Christie would be fantastic, it would be nice to see them show some ambition to maintain our levels by spending cash on some real quality. I think we should test County’s metal and try and go after Boyce.
  11. Can’t believe we would sell Hayes for the figures being quoted, it should be at the very least 1 million plus Christie. I am scared to look at the papers every morning now.
  12. No real surprises here, I have had a few run in’s with him in the past, the guys a complete simpleton. Could never imagine him running a dressing room. The funny thing is rangers fans think we are being bitter now he has singed for them when the majority of fans have thought he was a weakness for years. I think he is a decent footballer, but not one worth the reported 10k a week he is getting there. If I was offered Jack or Shinnie to be my ball winning midfielder it would be Shinnie every time. I don’t think the guy will have the stomach to deal with the rangers fans as soon as they are on his back, and they will be, he will sh*t the bed.
  13. Losing McInnis will be a disaster, could not come at a worst time. He will take at least a few players with him also. It was fun when it lasted. We should be doing everything we can to get Alex Neil.
  14. Don’t you just love football… All I asked for going into the game on Saturday is they gave it their all, a good honest performance and I certainly got that. It was such a hard one to take but if you don’t take chances against a top team you are always going to be up against it. I think Jack had a brilliant game and you could see what it meant to him at the end. I really feel it is very much the end of this team in its current form, I fear we will see a few more big players leave in the window. It could be a very long summer. It’s an odd feeling as I had got used to be able to retain players which is a strange concept to an Aberdeen fan in his twenties. I had pretty much fallen out of love with Aberdeen under Mcghee and Brown, going to games was justified through loyalty not enjoyment. McGinn was a flash a light in those dark times that reminded me why I bothered so am gutted to see him go. Although they had an imposter as a manager at the time you only have to look at united to see how things can go so quickly wrong after losing the spine of the team. Hopefully McInnis sticks around to stop that happening and it is important that the board supports him.
  15. Could not knock him if he took the Sunderland Job, don’t think he will be offered it, but don’t think he could turn it down. This could potentially be a horrible summer.
  16. I actually laughed out loud when i saw the squad. Strachan is clueless, Reynolds has been average at best this season. No Shinnie is also pretty mental, even the mcgregor boy from celtic who has actually been in good form misses out. No doubt the standard call up for john mcginn who has been playing in a league below all year.
  17. No idea what you are talking about as i have not seen the picture but my guess would be Ryan Jack.
  18. I think it’s been a great season, at the start of the year second spot and two cup finals was most people’s goal and the team have delivered. It would be nice the top it off by lifting the cup, but it’s going to be very difficult. I think the fans are due a good performance after the league cup showing. Losing Jack is not as big an issues as it would have been this time last season. I have always been a big fan of him but Shinnie has really come on to a game in the CM spot and leads by example. I would love to see as get Christie on a permanent deal in the summer but it seems unrealistic.
