Scotlands last genuine world class player?
Glenn Medeiros replied to RobbieD's topic in Tartan Army Ramblings
I thought you made the case for Fletcher quite well. You just need to accept not everyone agrees with you. World class of course being a undefined term open to interpretation. There's certain players that are nailed on world class (Messi) and others that are worthy of discussion, and Fletcher fall into this category. -

"I'm sorry Andrea, your chances in the first team will be limited now we've bought Darren Fletcher. Might be best to find another club.." -

He may well have, and Fletcher's work rates were infectious. Fletcher was a better midfielder for Man Utd, than Juan Sebastian Veron. And I'm not accepting any arguments that Fletcher was a better footballer. -

Yes, I think so. He's also quite a bit worse that Carrick, and I don't think Carrick is even close to "world class". Fletcher is a top boi though. -

So week one ended for me at exactly the same weight I started at. I was so pissed off on Sunday I drove to Frankie and Benny's - Parked in a disabled bay - and ordered a full British isles breakfast. Probably the worst thing I could have done, but I'd been good last week minus tue, wed, fri. I was hoping for a 6lb drop. f**k even 2lb would have been good!! I've weighted myself tonight and I'm 389 without clothes - so I've feeling more positive about stuff. -

Ad lib will be back to tell us about how the areas which thrived under the union would have been better off independent. While the areas who've suffered under the union should be eternally grateful for their suffrage.

Cameron told his audience: "You might want to think 'well why are we having this referendum, why take the risk?' I think it is the right thing to do for this reason. The Scottish people elected in 2011 a Scottish National party government in Edinburgh with Alex Salmond at its head. One of their policies was to have a referendum on the future of Scotland being a part of the UK. "I felt, as the prime minister of the UK, I had a choice. I could either say to them 'well you can't have your referendum, it is for us to decide whether you should have one.' I think that would have led to an almighty and disastrous battle between the Westminster parliament and the UK government and the Scottish government and the Scottish first minister. So I did what I thought was the right thing, which was to say 'you voted for a party that wants independence, you should have a referendum that is legal, that is decisive and that is fair.'"

I'm looking at getting down to under 300 fairly quickly, like the end of the summer. 250 isn't really *that* large, that would do me for Christmas. It's the little things like even going to the football. I cant go because I can't fit through the turnstiles. I'm also too large to use buses. But I have a car and it's a Toyota! -

Thanks for all the positive messages and for everyone who's signed up to the challenge. Today I've had a bowl of mixed fruit for breakfast. Soup without bread for lunch, and poached Cod with steamed veg for dinner. I've also walked nearly 1/4 of a mile. I think the key for me is planning, so I've already visited the shops so tomorrow's food choices will be healthy. I'm already craving chocs though, lol. #onedayatatime #onepoundatatime #doingthisformoira -

Flicking through GERS from many websites that list Scotland's wealth ( including / excluding oil & gas ) and I think we should calculate rUK's worth ( including / excluding the city of London)
-
This the Scotland one they couldn't sell tickets for ?
-
Quick alternative GERS - if we ditch the blood thirsty tactics of Westminister and accept Scotland is only a normal medium sized country. Ireland for example, and scale down defence spending. 10-11 9.2% income v 8.9% expenditure Scotland deficit £9 billion UK deficit £ 134 billion 11-12 9.6% income v 8.9% expenditure Scotland deficit £6.9 billion UK deficit £116 billion 12-13 8.9% income v 8.9% expenditure Scotland deficit £ 11.6 billion UK deficit £ 122 billion 13 - 14 Scotland income 8.6 % v 8.9% expenditure Scotland deficit £ 11.9 billion UK Deficit £ 103 billion 14-15 Scotland income 8.2% v 8.9% expenditure Scotland deficit £ 12.2 billion UK deficit £ 92 billion Plenty of other saving we could make when independent which is why GERS shows how Scotland is doing in the UK; not if Scotland became a country.
