  1. You must have had to be careful not to be stood on. I'm not sure how much older @NJ2 is but I doubt Aberdour was ever much of a rammy. Sounds like I missed all the fighting.
  2. Who goes in there? Also I think the correct reply was @ me next time
  3. I have never seen a pub fight - to be honest I have never seen a proper fight its all Falkirk High pavement dancing these days no-one has the bottle to go steaming in. Bring back National Service
  4. as someone who turned 18 in 2014 nah I would say drinking was pretty important however being seen to be drinking on social media is more important, making sure everyone knows youre having a GREAT time by posing with cocktails etc is important. Although you are unlikely to post pictures of you chucking up your own guts your pals will be there to document the whole thing - folk who take constant pictures on nights out OFTW. I would probably say I have an odd social circle because I went straight to work some of by best pals who I see on a regular basis are 40 or 30 years older than me. The oldest I regularly go into Edinburgh with our friend with for an expensive meal and a bottle or 2 of wine, however my and my 22 year old pal go down to Newcastle with our pal who is 50 and have skinful watching the football. Never got into any fights with any old geezers.
  5. Div publicising his "pub" quiz on twitter and not the thread of P&B quizzes
  6. The way some folk go on you would think oil is a disadvantage. Who is Darren Grimes? Amidst a global pandemic and Global Financial Crisis its quite cute that he is scrambling around the 2014 white paper.
  7. I thought the first series of Derek was excellent the dynamic of the characters was natural, when they binned Karl as the caretaker I thought it was a bit harder but still enjoyable - what didn't you like about it? As for the others I'm not sure if the office and extras were of their time and if you were working in an office at that time then they were a comic reflection of office work? Extras never did it for me and After life again not sure if its an age thing?
  8. Folk getting pissed off at potentially wasting £43 million, just wait till they find out about Triden.
  9. I thought Gervais, Pilkington and Merchant was a great trio on the radio and podcasts. I also really enjoyed Derek but extras, the office and afterlife not such a fan of
  10. Jointed a chicken this morning for a Coq au riesling its now simmering away nicely, as per the previous discussion it almost certainly won't be photo worth.
  11. He looks to clean shaven for The Captain
  12. Any time he has to face any difficult questions he's off, first it was a fridge now it's a huge house in the country with his feet up. As if most folk who recover from the virus will need to leave their large town house and garden for a country house and decent estate.
  13. How could they do that? Doing so could bankrupt some clubs, unless FIFA will pay for this extra cost. Albion Rovers for example could in theory have next to no wage cost during the summer due to most of their contracts expiring so where are they expected to find the cash for 22 wages with no income.
  14. no but she dropped the shoulder of her nice black jumper
  15. That wee Scottish Granny has made it on and cheered me right up.
  16. Tbf he would earn his cash if he was doing that
  17. 3 mins in and already in the thoughts and prayers section, what is wrong with Americans.
  18. Anyone else tuning into One World, basically the Covid-19 Live Aid, without Bob Geldof or U2.
  19. I agree but after the first week of June they aren't our players, we have no duty of care. I don't see why we should be expected to pay 20% of their salary, I think we should keep them ticking over until the scheme is removed by the government and then sadly after that they are on their own, just like they would be in any summer. We don't have to recontract them as players, in the gov guidance I couldn't see anywhere that stated their job title couldn't change, so surely we could register them as player coaches if the SFA required them to remain as football players, if not we could register them as admin staff with the same salary.
  20. That's a reassuring in principle, however I was a bit disappointed that UEFA or FIFA didn't give grants out to their members to help the smallest clubs. So I won't hold my breath.
  21. That's a shame then, I guess a lot of clubs will just shed their players. Hope FIFA/ UEFA come up with a plan to help the thousands of players out of contracts
  22. Fancy sticking the nurses in the NSFW forum or in spoilers. Cheers
  23. Wrong: Your employer will get a grant to cover 80% of your regular wages, up to a maximum of £2,500. Firms will be eligible for the grant from the date you ceased work, from 1 March. Your employer: will pay you at least 80% of your regular monthly wages, up to a maximum of £2,500, as your wage can claim for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks and for up to 3 months - but this may be extended can choose to pay you more than the grant - but they do not have to cannot choose to pay you less than the grant We are paying more than we "need" to but its the right thing to do for our contracted workers
