  1. Is there actually anything to do in Cumbernauld ?laugh.gif

Well me and the lad got kind of stuck there for a second tonight. I was picking him up then drove off without realising the boot wasn't shut right. I pulled into the car park of a pub and when I got out to shut the boot I could hear a sort of marching/flute band in the pub.

I was hugely confused as to why there'd be a flute/drum session at that time of night but there you go.

  2. Oooft, I'll have to disagree with you there. That man is well worth one.

As for your second sentence, that's disgusting! Ok, so it was close to what I nearly typed originally, but still disgusting!

Heh he's got a good bod I suppose.

I was going to write something an ex sent me in a text message about writing names on the ceiling but decided not to then typed it in this message anyway. :oops

  3. Nerves :(

Going to my first days work under my own business today and I am bricking it. Silly really as the folk that have booked me in today are getting my services for free on the understanding it's for feedback and training purposes so it's not like my performance needs to be 100% spot on but I can't seem to help being bloody nervous about it.

And yes I understand the abobve paragraph looks very dodgy.

  4. Home made chicken curry with proper chicken from the butchers, none of this supermarket gash. Made it with fresh brocolli, cauliflower, carrot, bird eye chillis, corriander, onion and spring onion with some frozen peas and sweetcorn thrown in.

I realise this will look and sound revolting to the majority but what the hell, it was ace. Plenty more where it came from too.

  5. How many animals do you have now?Oh and if you see a Ginger cat in your garden it is mine

    7 rats

    1 birdy

    1 hamster

    3 snakes

    2 lizards

    2 frogs

    2 toads

    24 tarantulas

    1 scorpion

    10 giant African snails

    50+ stick insects

    40+ giant cockroaches

    30+ giant millipedes

tropical fish tank with 7 fish in it

Kittys are not encoraged in my garden IO'm afraid, I'll be putting a pond in in spring. :P

  6. Just had a lovely steak pie that I got from the butchers at the end of last week.

Unfortunately I just noticed it was 2 days out of date so Steven and me are having a "first one to throw up is a pussy" competition. I reckon I have the edge in this due to my 23 years of constant curry.

Just noticed the two posts above mine.

  7. how do you avoid attending uncomfortable social events where you have no viable excuse to avoid? The housewarming of a former 'friend' and her new fiancee might be a good example.

there really is no viable excuse -I'm known to be doing nothing that evening short of faking a family massacre, which WOULD be discovered to be a lie and lead to more tension.

frankly I'm praying for more snow at this point.:(

Just send a message saying you just don't feel up to it (not a lie). I'm one of these folk that can't be arsed with uncomfortable situations. If I think a night out is going to go that way I just don't bother going unless there's going to be folk there I'm desperate to see.

Not worth it for me I'm afraid - sack it off! ;)

  8. I wish i'd stuck in and become a vet so I'd be mega rich.

£75 to see a rabbit at 7.30pm on Saturday night and £14 for medicine that didn't work. I shudder to think what the bill is going to be like at the end of all this given the rabbit had to go back in yesterday due to the f**king stupid medicine not working.

  9. Every time I drive through Callander and see the profile of Ben Ledi I wonder how it was so difficult. That was right at the start of my hillwalking career when I was woefully unfit but it is by far and away the walk that has caused me most hassle!

Ben Ledi was my first as well and I remember thinking it was horrible, did it again a year or two later and it didn't seem as bad.

Ben Vane will always be the one I hate the most though.

  10. I left the car at 10.15am I remember it being exactly 2 hours to the top of Ben Vorlich, so it would have probably been another hour after that, so probably about 1.15ish.

I saw the deer down in the valley to the south of the two hills as well. Was I going mad or was there a hell of a lot of 'mooing' noises coming from that direction as well!!!???

Yeah it was the stags, they were in rutt and I heard them all the way up as well.
