Nope. Always the chance they introduce some but was still fine last week.

They are planning to introduce restrictions on Tuesday...having parked their car away fans are required to enter the store and spend a minimum of £500. Security on duty, reg numbers being taken, so no alternative. Home fans allowed to park too but Lidl have agreed to reduce the shop spend to 50p. 😝

Good travelling noisy support up from Greenock today,Β  looked round about 4oo ISH,Β  Β don't know the attendance it was announced but it was muffled on our state of the art pa system..

Vocal travelling support indeed, but their repertoire was cringe at times:-

Refer to Clydebank 20 + years after the event - check.Β

Refer to a shitey home support when you're hardly packing out your own ground - check.Β

Refer to Airdrie being a shitehole when you come from Greenock and Port Glasgow - check.

Achieving less? Murray got us into two playoff finals! Think he took us as far as he could and his efforts more than merited a move to raith.Β
    Β

McCabe needs to demonstrate that he can do it in the championship before any big clubs come calling

You could argue that Rhys has already done something that Murray didn't - win the play off and get us promoted. That alone raises his stock, especially as a first season in management.Β

Arguably there are bigger clubs in the Championship than Airdrie, and plenty down in England, who might have a sniff around if he continues to get results - and get noticed, which (albeit we have lost 2 league games so far) so far he is doing.Β

Just need to get if of my chest before I go to bed but🀣 Justin devenny situation is really annoying me, see if your not gonna play him and he’s on the verge of a move away why even put him on the bench? It’s obvious he’s not gonna play either stick or sell him. And it probably was a penalty but it doesn’t help that gal missed an open goal from 2 yards out either, can’t be blaming the ref every week for not getting results in this league, got to take your chances.

Might have missed this but if not has Rhys been asked the question by either Diamonds tv or the Record about why Devenny's on the bench/not playing and/or rumour that a club is in for him?! Or is it a case of we don't want to ask the manager an awkward question?! πŸ™„

So you're saying that if Dundee won the League Cup, none of the fans would really give a shit?Β

    Yeah, sure.Β

And as for saying you'd rather a mid table league finish instead, well these things aren't connected and failing at one doesn't guarantee the other, so I can't buy into that type of thinking at all.Β

I'd expect my team to compete in every competition they take part in. Try to breed a winning mentality.Β

Not a chance Dundee fans would be saying it doesn't matter if you'd actually have won the game. Not a chance.Β

Spot on GD. The old "it means nothing/nobody gives a shit" is invariably trotted out by fans of the bigger clubs when they lose these kind of games. What a pathetic cop out, to the Dundee poster above how about saying "nobody gives a shit" to your fellow 400 odd fans who took the time, effort and money to come down from Tayside to Lanarkshire!

His interview is a car crash eh, almost blaming the fans because they've been asking for 2 up front. The fact he thinks that Henderson header at 3-0 down could've been a game changer, that header is the definition of a 'half chance'.Β

He's a total dinosaur and a thick, ignorant clown - "we played well for the first 7-8 minutes" - what a joke of a manager coming out with that (trying to be serious) tripe, then trying to blame the referee for not giving them a penalty (what about Leon McCann not getting sent off then John?), shifting it onto the fans etc... etc...Β  Β Β

At least we have our own ground...

Great relevant point there - not! Remind us all where you are in the league with your own stadium? Bottom, so fat lot of good your dump has done for your performance on the park. A stupid, meaningless point to make.Β

Quite a few clubs in the leagues don't own their stadium, and anyway Airdrie's stadium owner owns...Airdrie!Β

Last year’s final was awful for that. We had a big crowd in but the stadium was silent, the full thing had a lot of nervous energy.Β As soon as Queen’s Park equalised it felt like it could be a struggle and by the time Murray had taken off all our good forwards it felt inevitable we weren’t going to win, you were just waiting on the second goal coming.

I felt pretty good about the play-offs a few weeks ago but the closer we get, the more I’m starting to feel the same way as you. I think it’s hard not to when since the last league win it’s been almost 20 years of disappointments. What I would say is I don’t care at all where we finish in the league as I’m equally as concerned about playing Falkirk as I am Cove or Hamilton. If this team turn up they’re more than good enough to do it, it’s just whether they’re able to do that for long enough over four games.

Completely agree. I remember the main stand being jam packed with 3000 fans, but have never seen a stand empty so quickly at the end of a game. As I walked outside into the car park and along Craigneuk Avenue the anger, disappointment and frustration was unusually evidenced by an unnatural, almost stunned and eerie hushed silence - no shouts, rants or even heated debates...it was almost surreal. I have never seen that before and I was sick to the stomach.Β  Β

We never really turned up on the Thursday night at Firhill yet there was very much a mindset of "we'll finish the job off at home on Sunday" - not boasting but confident we would be alright in the return leg. After our goal we looked on our way but their equaliser and winner, coupled with Murray's bizarre tactics (a good enough manager for us but ultimately failed to get us promoted) finished us.Β

Based on our record I am not confident at all going into the play offs but agree with others on here the players are capable of doing it and we've as good a chance as anyone else in the mix.Β Β

A very weird game. Could have been 2-2 or 3-3 at halftime, despite Dunfermline being much the better side. That Ritchie-Hosler was excellent, a very good prospect.Β

Airdrie had then been the better side in the second half and crucially bounced back really quickly following an excellent finish from Wighton (after an uncharacteristic failed clearance from Fordyce). The diving header attempt from Stanway seemed to open space up somehow and Gallagher is too clever and reacts too quickly for his marker. Dunfermline seemed surprisingly vulnerable from corners all game, but that was the only time we capitalised.Β

Think we missed Gabby McGill especially in the first half, and lost composure a wee bit with our attempts once it became a training exercise following the red cards, but we got the point we wanted as a minimum so, job done.Β

Was impossible to see exactly what had gone on in the away stand, but it was still pretty funny watching folk completely ignore the game, and watching them argue amongst themselves and shout at each other. Also enjoyed the guy in a baseball cap who genuinely threw it to the ground in apoplexy at the second red, like in a skit. Chap nearly combusted and appeared to be offering fellow Dunfermline supporters out for a robust chat in the aftermath.

Wonder if he managed to his hat back after his frothing had subsided.Β

    Β

Two Dunfermline fans lifted - the main culprit had a beef with the stewards, who promptly called in the plod who were parked up in the away car park. Then said individual didn't take too kindly to the long arm of the law on his person...kicks and punches flying as the Pars lad got dragged away.Β

I turned to my brother in law and said "I have no clue who that even is"Β

Bizarre, he got to feel righteous for 4 minutes then we were back in front. Pleasing.Β

    What a goon.Β

Total fud. Not sure whether someone primed him when he was with Albion Rovers that we were "the enemy" from 2 miles up the road, or his time at Kelty where he was conditioned to despise any team from the west of Scotland, or maybe since he's landed at Clyde his teammates have told him we are indeed North Lanarkshire's finest! Odd behaviour for a two Bob bit nobody! 😩

I'm certainly the age to have experienced the Shish in both venues. There was also the Kohinoor, (Rasul family?) which had to shut when the building collapsed and the Shalimar of Mr Ali . Great street and the claim to have created Chicken Tikka Masala, although it's not my favourite.Β

You're making me nostalgic and hungry.

Remember the days when Gibson Street was called Curry Alley.Β

Glasgow has lost a few Indian restaurants in recent years including The Rawalpindi (a Tam Cowan favourite) on Sauchiehall Street and The Kohi Noor on North Street at Charing Cross. πŸ˜”
