Would you lot fancy Celtic away again?!
Why not? Just so long as our supporters will put up with potentially another evening of the Green Brigade throwing bricks and stones at innocent Airdrie supporters (including women and children) outside the ground prior to the game, pro IRA chants during the game and a pitch invader aiming to attack our goalkeeper at the end of the game.

Well go just tell us instead of multiple fake accounts being set up.
All in it’s been an interesting afternoon/night on here. The usual one or two have relayed the clubs story, Quitongo’s version has also clearly been posted. What we’re left with is that a players dad apparently overhead someone say a racist comment and we know after an investigation the club released a clumsy statement stating there wasn’t any evidence. What we don’t know is why said investigation is felt to be so poor by some (and I presume whether the culprit in their eyes could have been identified depending on the insinuation).
So instead of dancing round it why don’t you just explain in full? It’s not a police matter so I don’t see what the issue is in you doing so.
As for those claiming that the club have covered up or implicitly condoned racism - without full knowledge of how the investigation was conducted, you have absolute zero basis for such quite bold claims. And this, nailed it too.

Absolutely agree. But first you need to be able to identify them and that's not been possible. The only person who can do this is the person who heard it and challenged it. If they can't identify the suspect, what can the club do? As said above, resorting to trial by social media and attacking either the club or player is wrong. But it's happening and its both unprofessional and irresponsible for any party to do so.
100% this.

I remember my pals and I giving one of their players pelters as he took a shy and he reacted by telling us to "f*ck off". Imagine being triggered by a squeaky-voiced bunch of 9 year olds shouting "haw mister, you're rubbish".
Maybe not the same player but the one who did react to chants was horribly racially abused.

Re us being the only Scottish team to beat Man City in a competitive match , this is very commendable.......however we are probably the only Scottish team to have lost to the mighty Bury in a competitive match (Anglo-Scottish Cup I think it was. around 1980?). We were in the Premier Division at the time whereas they were in League Division 4 (or Division 2 as it is now known). That kind of puts things into perspective!
We lost 4-2 at Broomfield on a Tuesday night before the return game in England the following month. Airdrie fans thought they would beat Bury quite easily, as at the time they were in a lowly position in the bottom tier. Notable for a Bury player getting booked (sent off if I remember correctly) for gesticulating to the crowd for giving him...racial abuse.

Wouldn't be fair to tarnish the club with one supports actions but Section B have a history of unsavory views. That's beyond distasteful though if true. Shouldn't be hard to identify someone.
Is this connected with the ejected fan perhaps? The Daily Record reported that fan "stormed the Directors box". All a bit much for a L1 game of fitbaw.
Not connected in any way. Two totally separate incidents.

Can you pay at the gate for tomorrow's game or is it necessary to pre-purchase?
You might have got your ticket online by now but the club shop will be open at the stadium from 7pm for ticket sales.

I caught a sight of him heading apparently out with his wee boy and for some reason he seemed to want a go at some of the director box clients but it was hard to hear what had got to him. He did seem to think they were all f......... Wahoos ( Gullivers travel I think) but the stewards dealt with it fairly promptly. I also felt sorry for the wee boy and it does show how frustrated some folk can get. As to the game I thought we were just trying to make sure they could not play through us with two holding midfielders ( McGill and Agnew) who rarely appeared in the final third. It looked as if we hoped Gabby and Easton would get some space to attack but only McGill broke through for a fine chance to be missed by Frizzel? It was stuffy and QP ran out of ideas once the fancy passing proved ineffective. I think we are not far behind most teams but a real worry exists over the lack of goals /supporting runs to help Gallagher. I assume Smith was injured but a front 2 would have done so much more today. and in future. Mccabe had a very good game but he really needs to be in a more creative role. Easton was very peripheral in that team today and there was more dig from Jordan Allan as a sub than Gal in the game. Overall dropping to 2nd bottom is a worry but a draw against the big money leaders , may well be quite important. Now for wee Barry's turn to get welcomed.
The guy who had a rant was having a go at a Queen's Park director/sponsor - he was challenging him to a square go. The Airdrie directors were sitting further over. I think something had been said to him on his way out and he made his way to the man who said something to him.

I’d be more than happy with both of them signing although I read it as Thistle wanting to sign Bell and us wanting to sign Paton rather than both clubs being in for both players but I could be wrong.
I’d be delighted to see Paton back. Turner was the more exciting, more tangible player but Paton made a huge difference to that midfield and the side overall as well. He brought balance, experience, steel and a bit of nous to a side that desperately needed it. There’s no doubt his involvement helped contribute to the improvement in Currie and the defence and he also allowed Turner, the rest of the midfield and the forwards to do what they do best also. My one concern would be that he picked up two bad injuries in a short space of time although I guess that could be caveated by the number of games we were playing in that time and the fact his season had been so stop start. We’d probably need to sign another defensive mid as well as a more box-to-box type as we'll certainly need better backup in that position than Dean Ritchie.
Exactly this - it is only Paton we are wanting to sign, Thistle are looking at Bell.

You would think Martin Ferguson could ask his brother for some advice on the management side,
Well Martin was there on Saturday as was Bobby Watson, the 2 of them were none too pleased with that performance.

When you break it down like that it is bit alarming and the way we folded today not good
Unfortunately the playing of Primal Scream's "Movin' On Up" at half time didn't motivate or inspire the team enough in the 2nd half.

The Roberts substitution was the only good one he made, started using three subs at a time, has not a clue how to change a game , football has been stopped for too long, and home results no longer speak for the manager, please Ayr make him your manager,
Wishful thinking on your part - Murray won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
