I always find the best time to go steaming into a slide tackle is when someone is going nowhere on the edge of the box.

Two so far…
I don’t even think there’s much of a debate as to who should be our first choice striker right now.
He’s on a great run. Armstrong with a goal as well.
The way things are going there’s a small chance that Southampton beat Leicester and Leeds to the top 2 in that league. Which would be quite funny.

This is up there with some of the stupidest “stats” I’ve ever seen.

If you're rejecting players on the basis of a poor performance v Czechs in the euros you can discount half the current squad tbh
He’s rejected by it not being 3 years ago and there now being several others ahead of him - including the 4 or 5 other right backs who’ve been called up more recently.

Is having your hand on someone's shoulder a foul?
On its own? No.
When the attacker is racing away for you, you’ve no hope of getting the ball and you do it to try slow them down? I don’t think you can complain.

What a fucking stupid challenge to make in the 30th minute.
About the only way PSG were getting back into this.

Che Adams scores again.

The first goal was a cross from the left and the second was a mixture of Hendry taking a crazy pot shot and Marshall being closer to Queen Street station than his goal line. Incredible that anyone would try to pin that game on SOD.
When did I blame him for either of the goals? There’s a whole other 89 minutes of the game. He was hopeless all game tripping over himself.
The notion that he never had a bad game for us is shite that gets parroted because people liked his application. He had some good games but some pretty bad ones as well.
He the best of an incredibly limited bunch for a while but we’ve moved on from that.

Appreciate he's been playing right back for Bristol City recently but never been called up by Scotland in that role has he? I think his previous Scotland calls were as a midfielder.
Also not a bad shout but only recently come into the u21 squad.
I think both of these will be behind Ralston (obviously) and Max Johnston. Fair chance they are ahead of O'Donnell and Calvin Ramsay though.
Apparently his most recent call up was to replace Ralston.

I reckon the pecking order is Hickey > Patterson > Ralston > McCrorie. Not sure where Johnston fits in, it felt like he was called up out of convenience more than anything else.

Do the folk who constantly parrot the line about SOD “never letting us down” have amnesia from the Czech game at the Euros?

And how many that wore 10 didn't play as a playmaker and instead played somewhere else? It's wee boy nonsense.
It clearly goes back decades to the days before squad numbers. Strange hill for you to die on.

I’m a simple man. I read a post calling Macintyre a p***k, I upvote.

How the f**k is Seamus Coleman still playing Barclays football in the year of our Lord 2024?

Everything is either the best it’s ever been or the worst it’s ever been. No in between is allowed.

Anyone else think that shouldn't have been a penalty? Looked to me like the ball changed direction off the defender's head first, before it goes onto the boy's arm. His arm is in a natural position and he didn't have time to adjust.
I don’t agree with it but I’ve seen plenty similar given from VAR the past season or two.

What a job Philipe Clement is doing, by the way.

He really is. They always sem to put everything into their starting goalie then have substandard second as a consequence. Boys like Bogdan etc.
It’s the case for their entire squad tbh. Probably not quite as much this season but they’ve always heavily prioritised the starting XI at the cost of having a bench full of jobbers for most of Klopp’s time there. No excuse for a club like Liverpool to have such substandard backups.
If that’s the way they want to go then fair enough but it makes his whining about the number of games his players are “forced” to play intolerable. He doesn’t rotate because he’s made the choice to have a shite second team.

If only the UK and US were as strong in their condemnation of the carpet bombing of Gaza.

He also spends half his time whoring his players out for transfers and falling out with them if they turn down a move.
