  1. The lad's only flaw is that his confidence was shot to hell when he was in effect bumped by County. Given his youth it must have been hard to take. With the right direction you have a fine talent.
  2. Not fussed about the result, just hope we had a good injury free work out. Would love to have the addition of an Ali Crawford type midfielder, a winger who can deliver quick ball and where o where is Jim o' Brien.
  3. 80,000? I guess ICT are holding out for a quid for every foul he has committed.
  4. I am not so much a MENSA member but rather hater of general ignorance
  5. You are right, it is unfair to dismiss to the influence of other clubs there. I believe that Kid Jenson still dominates the midfield of Radio Luxembourg.
  6. The no green boots thing did not seem to work, to avoid any further embarrassment to other clubs in Scotland including mine could you avoid playing in blue. In fact, you deserve no colour.
  7. If we did offer £50k for Draper then I despair. However, I had the opportunity to see Jamie Lindsay play for Morton (albeit only once) and he looked an real prospect- looks to work his socks off and can see a forward pass before most. It is a big step up for him but a great chance nevertheless, I hope that given a wee bit of time and encouragement he will be a significant signing.
  8. A real shame that we did not get the real benefit of Chris Burke- I recall his brilliant performance in Perth as what might have been. His quiet/private way of dealing with what was a horrible and debilitating virus is to his immense credit. I wish him well in all senses of the word.
  9. I believe that Third Lanark are having more active transfer business than County.
  10. The Woods situation is common knowledge and tbh even if he was still the love child I don't think it would dilute concerns about the midfield. Glad to hear you don't have major concerns about our strike force I just wish I shrared them. Draper? The last thing we need is a Messi type visionary at the club.
  11. I posted serious concerns a few pages ago and was advised to calm my jets by most ( not all) respondents. I wish to declare serious bed wetting now. As wiser counsels have already said, the goalkeepers and defensive options are sound and give a fair degree of confidence. The shape of the team beyond that is frankly scary. I am not buying into the ability of Development Team players to step up into the week on week grind of the SPFL and it would not be reasonable to expect more than one , maybe two at a push, to do so. A half-wit could have foreseen that Boycie was on his way and given the goal scoring gap that he leaves it is imperative that we have a solution given that we are not going to get a like for like replacement. The Burke situation is such that we surely must be in a position to expect that he is able to start the season , if not we need to get pragmatic. As good as the last few weeks of the previous season were it can't be denied that it was a somewhat "difficult " campaign: to my mind it is absolutely vital that we start 2017/18 with a powerful showing. Just off to change the bed clothes...
  12. Bet you're shitting it now, you can't even dream of signing Max Ashmore. To be fair I don't think many dreamt it.
  13. Burton fecking Albion. That's like losing your bird to Johnny Vegas - nice enough but fatter and a wee bit uglier than you. JM better have a plan for this ...
  14. Probably overreacting but mindful of last seasons stumbling start I need some reassurance that we are not repeating the same story. Our first competitive game is in four weeks, the manager is on holiday for another week, we look likely to lose Boyce and there is little public transfer activity. Am I worrying unnecessarily ?
  15. Yes except her character was a male called Neil McCann who drifted in and out of the plot
  16. I'm guessing you are joking. Minutes of game time equal a contract? Well, thanks, but cheerio Naismith,O'Brien, Curran etc...
  17. So, the hunt is on to find his replacement. It won't be that easy to find someone who can secure a first team place by being regularly caught out of position.
  18. I only intend to spell his name correctly when he stops fannying about with - and occasionally without - a football.
  19. The fringe must be longer than the fringiest thing. Can't see him staking a claim to the first team at Celtic Park. Would love to see him back at Dingwall, he would complement the current squad really well.
  20. I think you are right, probably a supporter with one of his "passes".
  21. Having seen VdW and McEveley play I would suggest that McLaughlin should be in contention for a decent run in the first team.
