It is about time that Nelms understood Dundee Football Club, in particular the long suffering support.
I am disgusted with the club generally. McPake should understand just how much this hurts.
No doubt in my mind now that relegation will happen and we fucking deserve it
I urge all Dundee fans to take action in response to this utter shitshow by staying away from Dens till change is made
It is the only way to send a clear message to Nelms.
Depressing does not even begin to cover this.... worst than admin for me.
The lowest point for me of 45 years of supporting Dundee.
I’m sure we said that last year and the year before that and the year before that

I reckon you could put a RB and LB from the juniors and they would better than Kerr and Elliot, they are fucking garbage.
Neither have been the worst performers so feel free to pick someone else out for once

Not sure why Adam was booked there as, as captain he’s supposed to say his piece to the ref

Doidge would be a fantastic signing for us. 100% don’t see it happening though, please be wrong!
Scotty Allan would be ideal but who makes way for him Gowser After signing Chapman do we need Allan?
Bring back Mulligan to cover the 2 attacking wide players, keep everyone else out on loan and sign some defenders please Jamsey boy. There’s a fairly important game in a couple of days
Any other season I’d say no we he’s not “needed” per say but with one out break our assistan manager was named on the bench with 2 gks, the more the merrier for just now

Only for one day apparently while he was up here.
What was the reason he chose their Facilities instead of ours?

Kane Hemmings off to Tranmere Rovers for an undisclosed fee on a two and a half year contract.
Assume Burton Albion need the money, however good luck to the feller.
It was a nice thought while it lasted, at least it’s not Salford

Handing Ashcroft a new deal is truly unacceptable. That's basically saying we have to accept shite and mediocrity.
Devastated.
I’d settle for mediocrity, if it also meant stability
we are Dundee, mediocre is honestly the best we can hope for

I’m a fan of Ashcroft and I’m pleased he has signed up again, proper no nonsense centre half get him a good partner or partners and we’ll be fine

I know it’s been said but it’s still annoying that the 2 defenders reported are within a 20’miles radius and at the completely other end of the spectrum is a guy that’s plays(Ed) in Canada, wtf is up with our scouting department(sort of)

Bring him home.
What I love about the Indian league is instead of Man of Match they are called Hero of Match, sounds waaay cooler especially if you win hero of the year

Because it's better than discussing the pros and cons of Paul Watson.
Can it be discussed in the fermer thread? at least the Paul Watson thing may at least have a touch of truth

We’re obviously not looking at efe Ambrose so why is there 2/3 pages on this?

He's struggling to get a game for Forfar ahead of Steven Anderson and Munro at the moment. Has potential but his injuries have been big setbacks. Needs regular game time before we give him a go IMO.
Anderson is a decent enough centre half to learn from, so I imagine if he comes back next season it can only be as an improved player

Barry Smith had to scrap all our scouting systems (or rather it was scrapped before him) due to admin and he really suffered because of it and had to rely on signing mates and mates recommendations. We then got thrown into the top flight just as we were becoming relatively stable and it was panic stations.
John Brown made Archie Knox our scout and wanted him to set up his own system but was gone within months.
When Hartley came in, Hartley wanted to undertake the scout role himself. We heavily used Wyscout and he took on the job of about 3 scouts such was his dedication to the role but eventually this caught up with him as evidenced by his later signings but he was still attending pretty much every game available to him across the whole of the UK.
Neil McCann comes in. Dunno what the script is as he claims we have no scouting system (obviously) not even Wyscout which was a bit weird as Hartley definitely used it. He then gets that and just solely relies on that.
f**k knows about McIntyre.
And now we have McPake who heavily relies on his mates and I've no idea if he's tried to build a scouting system but with covid it's probably been difficult to implement even if he has tried.
Fwiw with mcpake where the heck he got Malachi Walcott from I’ll never know and if he’d kept fit who knows what would have happened

Would it be worth bringing Fischer back or is he never gonna make it at this level, seemed decent enough last season(tbf we shipped what felt like a ton of goals)before we dropped him 2 leagues

I take it Dundee just have no scouting system at all?
6 months to plan for this window and improve the backline as a priority, and the options are Efe Ambrose/Paul Watson on trial, or an ex-player in his 30s on loan...
pretty much…
