Thing is though his last four years could be summed up in a 30 second clip, we are his 13th club, what does mcpake see that others don’t?

Can't be doing with the whinging, people moaning about him, and he's not even pulled the shirt on yet. Great signing. IMO.
Based on?

So Does this mean hoof ball is gonna be our tactic now?, personally don’t like this signing and think we Might have well kept haber, moussa or sow as I can’t see Sheridan being any better
maybe(hopefully) im Wrong and I have a mouth full off “shut it” pie but can’t help but feeling this is a mistake

Alexander every day of the week. The evidence is what Siegrist was like as a keeper when he started working with Alexander and him now.
Marciano is a good keeper as is the dabrowski would Combe not have had a hand in those, unsure who the cove keeper is

With Neil Alexander leaving yinited who would you prefer to have out the 2, Alexander or Combe

I can see him being offered facilities but he’s a player we don’t need anymore unless he decides he is on a far lesser rate than we had him on

Anyone else notice after it was said on here about Danny Rogers and Exeter looking at MacDonald it was instantly on Scottish football gossip column this morning, I swear they get their info from here

I hope that if we do end up going for this keeper, that he's ready to challenge Legzdins. I don't think Legzdins has fully proven himself yet. He's up there with the best we've had since Rab (bar a 6 month amazing spell from Bain) but that's not saying much when the competition has been Kyle Letheren, Dan Twardzik, Steve Simonsen, John Gibson, David Mitchell, Jack Hamilton, Calum Ferrie, Arvid Schenk and Seny Dieng.
Only Dieng and possibly Simonsen can lay claim to being at least equal.
It's gonna be a long season and we need Legzdins to be top quality with our back-line or if he's not the one, then whoever his challenger is.
Got a soft spot for letheren the others meh

Anyone wary of Leyton orient or do we think it should be a walkover?

I forgot we'd had the Luton Town discussion not long ago, remembering that has made the last page or so make more sense.
I personally think Sheridan deserves at least the trial he is getting, might as well see how he handles himself against decent competition like West Ham.
Get past the orient first, although they scraped into 11th in league 2 with our Danny Johnson’s goals, should be a comfortable 3-0 win with the young lads hopefully getting a run out and maybe see more of Harrison Sharp and Sam Fisher

Yes, Messi is unattached too, how embarrassing you signed McCowan.
Messi is finished at this level, mcCowan is where it’s at 2 (bounce) games 3 goals via Forfar and 2 at Hamilton(allegedly)

The last time Sheridan was any good was 1 season in the Cyprus league and 1 season in polish league , not sure what that says about the quality of the striker or the opposition
hardly gives me a tickly pickle though

Would love to see the club go baws oot for someone like Barrie McKay. A player who would take the ball under pressure and drive at defences through the middle of the park.
A year in Scotland would do him good to get him back on the market at his age(26) he failed to inspire in his last 2 moves

Alan Combe to replace Geddes as GK coach
Not quite the appointment I wanted but I’ll take it, fairly modern GK with modern(hopefully) coaching techniques
happy with this if if it means mcpake is building his own back room staff instead of getting someone forced upon him

Lots of Mullen and Cummings references, where does jakubiak fit in, if he has more than 2 games without hurting himself

Good luck in the future and all that, but I’m happy about this GK has been a problem position we’ve had for an age and I can’t think of 1 keeper we’ve had since Derek Souter or Jamie langfield that’s came through our books and had a half decent career

Did you see that article in The courier about grant Adam embezzling £23 grand from his grandfather, mental

Reckon Sharp is gonna be our number 2 for the season or will we get another body in? Unsure what the Forfar game was like but conceded 0, so far so good , Leyton next they don’t look like they have that big a squad on paper

I would have thought we’d be in for some PCAs over the past couple months, obviously not been a huge priority or at this point in time may as well wait til 1 July
