  1. Agree with this. Baynham certainly showed some promise and you would hope he would improve the team a bit but seeing him as the saviour is a tad on the optimistic side.
  2. My comment about playing Charlie Fox up front was meant to highlight our deficiencies in that area. I agree that he should be first choice at centre half.
  3. We desperately need someone to score goals. if you take away the freak 6-0 Falkirk game where we benefitted from extraordinary generosity from the Bairns, only 2 teams have scored less goals than us. McHugh is not the answer. Murray is not the answer. Baynham might be at least a partial answer ... if he is ever fit. Our 3 top scorers (Longridge, McHugh & Connell) have 14 goals between them the same as Goodwillie & only one more than Rory Gallagher & Graham Webster. Plain & simple, we need a striker - either that or play Charlie Fox up front!!
  4. nah - here's our new manager. He should be free by March
  5. I'm struggling to work out what would make someone available in march but not now. Unless he or she is getting out of jail then. Any ideas?
  6. Queens Park announce new temporary first team coach
  7. A little bit more about our top secret bounce games against hibs. 2x 60 Min games. 1-0 to hibs & 1-1. https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/martin-boyle-and-new-boys-involved-in-hibs-bounce-games-3523617?amp
  8. Indeed. But it would hardly stop them announcing his appointment though would it?
  9. It's a well known fact that we have the biggest sweetie paper budget in the league.
  10. I don't have a clue & I'm questioning it. Its very depressing how everyone seems to know our wage budget in great detail ... except me.
  11. Glad you find it all so simple. I'm immensely glad its not me having to make these decisions. They're not easy.
  12. I think the point is that the club should be encouraging folk to become members not making it akin to some sort of secret society. As others have pointed out it will probably makes hee-haw difference in the future as its clear that the club does what it wants & gives little heed to fans, season ticket holders or members. I don't much care as long as we get some transparency about a future we can all get on board with. in other news... ...hopefully, Laurie will find it hard to drop our rep in the SPFL team of the week.
  13. If we had acres of ground to expand into, I'd be all for keeping the farmhouse. We don't so i'm not. Sadly, the oldest farmhouse that happens to be on a football ground but doesn't really have much to do with football, will have to go.
  14. well done to the Falkirk Herald's algorithm for finding an appropriate ad to show at the bottom of the story.
  15. I hope someone has warned him our cafes are not as good...
  16. And the 1981/82 team had 3 wins and 5 draws after 12 games in a league which included Hearts, Motherwell, Hamilton, Killie, Raith, Ayr, Dunfermline and St Johnstone!! and not a loan player in sight. They did have Eddie Hunter as manager though. I would imagine Eddie's half time chats were rather more motivating than Ellis's
  17. On current form, we may well make the play-offs. 3 points from the last 5 games.
  18. Isn't this exciting? Trying to work out what's going on - it's like a detective story. If only there was someone who could tell us...
  19. Other than the continued preference of Kilday over Fox, that looks a decent starting line up.
