  1. I agree. It would be good to see Baynham get a run in the team to give him a chance to show whether he can do the business at this level. I thought Brown & Moore showed some nice touches and agree with whoever said that we were much improved when Gillespie came on. It must be of some concern though, that with a week until the season starts, we apparently had only 13 fit outfield players. I'm sure the club will be along shortly with an update on the injured players.
  2. So we are playing Raith on Saturday. We know this because Raith do this revolutionary thing of letting their fans know what games their team is playing. If arrangements are the same as their game against Stranraer on Saturday, only Raith season ticket holders will be able to attend The Stranraer game was streamed free of charge on the Raith YouTube channel.
  3. no but it has been on the TV a fair bit with Sky Sports filming in Lesser with no sign of activity -& clearly they wouldn't be using it if it was an active building site
  4. You would think with all the money we have, we could have afforded a better pen.
  5. So, since we are paying transfer fees and bringing ex players back, might there be more? What about Sal?
  6. Thank you - I prefer grass. and Glasgow and glad to hear your drainage problems are a thing of the past.
  7. I think Firhill is the best of the available options. Hopefully it will be Firhill for thrills. Pray for a dry autumn.
  8. I feel like I've stumbled into a meeting of the Battlefield local history society. Most enlightening.
  9. hopefully season ticket page being updated shortly
  10. Maybe. Who knows? Pretty sure you don't. Let's wait & see.
  11. Interesting. Well at least we can forget about manky Malky for a while.
  12. I don't think whether existing supporters will stop supporting the club, is the right question. I'd imagine most will continue to support the team. To have s sustainable future we need more bums on seats week in week out. The question is: would appointing Mackay help or hinder that? My view is that the inevitable negative publicity (whether justified or not) could hinder attempts to expand our fanbase. The same question should, of course, be asked of any other potential candidates.
  13. It strikes me tonight, watching the scenes in George Square, that if the club was really switched on PR wise, now would be a great time to promote the club as an alternative to the Old Firm.
  14. Well, unless Malky was the guy lying under the van in Kenmure Street yesterday, I would say "thanks but no thanks" If he has genuinely repented & learnt his lesson that would be unfortunate, but appointing him would just be giving our opponents a stick to beat us with. For a club that should be looking to grow our support, that is the last thing we need.
  15. I think a few folk are getting a bit dramatic here. All we know at present is that McKinnon is away. We don't know the full story behind that & we don't know who will replace him. Maybe we should all take a deep breath & wait and see how things pan out before rushing to judgement.
