  1. Managed to get the stream here. https://dumbartonfc.univtec.com/outside/login
  2. Fitba' fans need something to moan about...if we cannae moan about the fitba' or the manager, then I guess hospitality is the next best thing.
  3. I wouldn't say his goalscoring record is anything great. In fact, other than a short loan spell with Airdrie, his scoring record for us is better than anywhere else. Although I don't think these figures include his one goal from 4 starts & 5 substitute appearances this season. I agree that he is not doing the business for us - I just don't see much evidence that he has done the business elsewhere.
  4. We've been over this ground a few times. The truth is everyone hates a club that is bank rolled by some rich benefactor... ..Until it's their club.
  5. Our mercenaries might well be playing at a higher level next season. Yours look more likely to be playing at a lowlan...oops lower level the way things are going.
  6. While , I don't necessarily disagree with this or the other posts pointing out our shortcomings yesterday, we still managed 15 shots at goal, more than any other team in the league. That should have been enough to win the game comfortably. Ironically, in amongst our injury woes, I see Craig Slater has just completed his 6th game in a row for Forfar - and he has played the full 90 minutes in every one!! Did he ever even manage 2 in a row for us without bits falling off?
  7. In the party mood after travelling through from Fife on a bus full of cider swilling youths on their way to TRNSMT. Hoping for a festival of goals from the spiders. ... Like everyone else though, I'll settle for a dismal 1-0.
  8. Those of you old enough to remember Jimmy Gilmour will enjoy this... Understandably, being a Falkirk podcast, it's predominantly about his time at Brockville, but the first few minutes are about his time as a spider. He was some player.
  9. So I believe ... But has the club ever told us this? Equally, there is absolutely no good reason not to give some information on roughly when we might expect them back. We don't even know if either are likely to be back this year. So it might be months before the club gives us any information? But they only communicated that their communication was poor to members, who were apparently encouraged not to communicate that information. I assume season ticket holders and other supporters don't matter. Early days yet, but it's great to see us us sitting on top of a league that we usually only pop in to visit for a year or two. I am as delighted as anyone. I'd still like to know whether Quitongo & Grant are likely to be back before Easter.
  10. Nice touch from the club. Wouldn't it be great to get Luca & Brody back on loan again? Both were outstanding last season.
  11. Have I got this right? One of the issues that led to the meeting being held was poor communication and a lack of openness from the club. They have resolved this by having a meeting with members only and sworn them to secrecy. Excellent
  12. I guess the sponsor a player thing has always been about raising money and if the club can successfully shift 30 or 40 sweaty shirts at £300 a pop, then good on them. It would seem foolish not to offer something a little more modestly priced to fans who can't /won't fork out £300 for a sweaty shirt. I would have thought one these "get your name on a brick" schemes would be a good idea. Especially as we are (probably) actually building something. And surely we need a sponsor for these captain's armbands, Doyle keeps giving away.
