The astronauts didn't know a thing. Mission Control suspected there might be a problem but didn't tell them - there was nothing they could have done about it anyway.

Stupid error at step 3 as I reused two letters in the same wrong place.

Happened to me a few months back. Right eye wouldn't focus at all. Won't lie I was absolutely terrified as I have a rather irrational fear of losing my sight.Β
Nothing irrational about that.

Years ago, our neighbours went on holiday and left my mum to feed the cat.
One day she went over and the house was in a terrible state. Cupboards, drawers, everything like these pictures.
Mum thought the cat had made the mess. My dad went over to help clean up and noticed that the cat, if guilty, must have kicked in the back door as well and rifled through jewellery boxes.Β
To this day my siblings and I take the piss out of her for that one. They caught the burglar a couple of weeks later.
Not a cat-burglar then.

Couldnβt think of anywhere else to put this:
3 times over the legal limit, speeding at over 60mph and kills a laddie just out of school and about to head off to uni.
Only gets 6 years? Seems awfully lenient to me

A neighbour often βwalksβ her cat on a lead, she puts it in on the high wall of the car park at the corner and walks it back and fore. I worry in case it takes a leap and strangles itself but itβs quite laid back. Often sits there for a spell while she talks to it.
She's a witch! Burn her! Burn her!

In defence of the nurses, the ones at St. John's in Livingston could not have been any better when I was in there last week.

Given the way the papers are covering this, I can't help thinking that if the Queen had died yesterday, the news would have been on page 2.

The time when the big hand and little hand point straight up is neither 12am nor 12pm. Those would expand out to β12 before/after 12 right in the middle of the dayβ; and itβs neither. Times either side of it work fine, but itβs just technically wrong* to use 12am or 12pm.
Totally agree, and I was about to post something similar. However technically midnight is 12pm but that would be too confusing so we call it midnight, even though it isn't the middle of the night.
