  1. Good to see City keep their unbeaten run going. What's that now? - six games without a defeat in League and Cup. Was hoping for a win today which would have given Gary Jardine the Ladbrokes League Two Manager of the Month Award. But in saying that, the only other contender is Arbroath boss Dick Campbell who's team failed to see off the Binos. With Montrose and Stirling Albion both holding Forfar and Arbroath to score draws, I think Ladbrokes should still give the Award to Gary.
  2. The influence of Father Ted, I believe.. (Pat Shortt)
  3. Edinburgh City Players - Artist Collecting Card Number 2. Aaron Dunsmore.
  4. City Fanzine for Edinburgh City v Cowdenbeath at Meadowbank. The Editorial and some things about the Highland League.
  5. City Fanzine for Edinburgh City v Cowdenbeath at Meadowbank. The Centrefold.
  6. HaHa, Yes, even The Scottish Sun has done away with its tits.... on Page 3 unfortunately. (Mind you it's a family Fanzine. No smut has slipped through so far as I know although there may be an innuendo on Page 9 coming up in the Highland League report.
  7. City Fanzine for Edinburgh City v Cowdenbeath. Pages 10 & 3. David Stoker reporting on Edinburgh City's Scottish Cup third round opponents East Fife in their 2-2 draw with Alloa at Bayview Stadium..
  8. City Fanzine for Edinburgh City v Cowdenbeath. Pages 2 & 11. Spot any familiar Meadowbank Thistle fans' faces in the crowd?
  9. Aye, "You're nothing special, we lose every week". That was our chant up until the 5 game unbeaten run.
  10. Speaking of Centrefolds, scarily while reviewing The Thitsle for this Saturday's Edinburgh City Fanzine on Pages 2 & 11, I have come across a real gem. The author didn't immediately jump out at me because his name blended in with the background at the bottom of the page.... but it looks as though the 'Davie's On the Road Again' writer is going to get a double shout out this week. (I fear another Meadowbank coup is brewing)
  11. City Fanzine Back Page & Cover for Edinburgh City v Cowdenbeath (Headline for book review replaced) Pages 2 & 11 to follow tomorrow.
  12. 2 or 3 more episodes to go, I think, before the end of Bill Hunter's Book review in the Fanzine. Be nice if I could get an interview with the man himself for the Finale. Don't think I can fit a visit in to Livingston though, even if he still has a corporate box on match days.
  13. Give us a "Blobby Blobby Blobby" shout then! By the way, can you send me a couple of decent action photos from the recent Cowdenbeath v Edinburgh City match at Central Park for inclusion in the City Fanzine? Working on the centrefold tomorrow. Here's Pages 8 & 5. Aaron Dunsmore is the Edinburgh City Player's Collecting Card for this weekend.
  14. Thank you for the condolences. We've just had to dust off the first reserve who has an injured leg but he's playable for Saturday. (a few sticking plasters in place)
  15. I think I saw it for sale on eBay today. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TEAM-SHEET-PROG-EDINBURGH-CITY-v-ANNAN-ATHLETIC-12-NOV-2016-SPFL-LEAGUE-TWO-/272448585810? As a footnote. I spotted a great Gilzean cartoon book by that ebay seller after browsing his 'items for sale' page. It has one about a Hibs fan, a Hearts fan and a Meadowbank fan standing in the middle, in the rain, reading the late dearly departed Pink News (I think) on a Saturday night. Swap the Meadowbank fan for an Edinburgh City fan to bring it up to date in the 21st Century. (Anybody good at doing drawings for a certain Fanzine/)
  16. Good to see Nico Gibson back in the team reckoning after a long lay off through injury. On the bench yesterday as No. 16. Team sheets were scarce as hens' teeth yesterday.
  17. Yea, that's us. We try to get at least two ground hoppers' interviews for the following week's City Fanzine on the Supporters page. (example seen below)
  18. No, not at all. Annan fans love Blobby. He even got his own special announcement when he visited Galabank on the 1st October. Blobby got a bit over-excited on the first official supporters' bus to Montrose last week. That's all. Fair dues to Mini-Me-Blobby for taking his place in the crowd yesterday. (Seen in the video posted earlier)
  19. Mr Blobby suffered a severe injury on the way to the stand yesterday. Despite immediate first aid and by his carer Jackie, he sadly deflated beyond repair. His understudy, also going by the name of Mr Blobby, will take his place next week to hopefully lead his Blobby Army cheering his team on to another stunning victory.
  20. Crowd reaction to Ryan Porteous goal for City.
  21. Onwards and Upwards as they say. Here's the City Fanzine Cover for Edinburgh City v Cowdenbeath at Meadowbank on Saturday. #ForzaCity
  22. Nominations are now in for the Scottish League 2 Manager of the Month Award. 1. Gary Jardine 2. Gary Jardine 3. Gary Jardine Three wins in a row and unbeaten in 5 matches. If Stirling Albion and Montrose lose to Arbroath and Forfar respectively next week and Edinburgh City see off the Blue Brazil at home, then City will go 7th in the league. Surely Manager of the Month for Gary Jardine and his Black and White army behind the scenes?
  23. City Fanzine for Edinburgh City v Annan Athletic. Saturday 12 November at Meadowbank. Pages 10 & 3. The New Meadowbank Stadium debate.
  24. Exciting plans just announced for Edinburgh City's old Meadowbank Stadium. They are asking for the public's views before they go ahead with the planning application next year and you can fill in the survey questionnaire. Personally, I would tone down the gold effect and make it more amber in colour. The birds add a nice touch though. They can stay. http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/news/article/2193/have_your_say_on_the_new_meadowbank
