Think we got off this year with having two sides so cast adrift. Defo won't be the case next season, so even if we get the same "consistency" as this season, I think we'll be away... so have to hit the ground running and maintain it.

Brass and Douglas consistently fit and playing together would likely terrify every side in the league... fingers crossed!

Very true. It’s the defence I’m more concerned with. The best back 5 at the start of the season was probably Donoghue (GK), Gillan (RB), Harrison & Wright (CB’s) and Donaldson (LB).

Don’t think they even played one game together all season due to one thing or another. Only the 3 relegated sides conceded more than Broxburn.

When Errol got a run if games playing up front he turned into exactly the sort of striker I'd hoped we'd signed in him! Keep him injury free, have enough cover in other areas so he's not playing half the season out of position and I'm pretty confident he'll be amongst league top scorers next season.

This season just never quite got going. Other than yesterday, the last few weeks have looked better and the guys Pittman has brought in have looked decent. Be great if we could extend the Williamson loan deal... the few times I've seen him he's looked a player at this level.

It’s a difficult one as Gary B has also played really well this season.  To fit the two in we need to go 3-5-2 or 4-4-2. The first was an utter shambles any we played it. The other formation suited us better due to a lack of pace and fitness in midfield but didn’t do it often enough.

Interesting to see how next season goes but if we are not at it early relegation is a real possibility. The teams coming up are stronger than last year and there is no poor team dropping in from the Lowland this year.

  3. Sooner the season is over the better. Horrible campaign but not surprised. Towner was a decent player but should never have got this season.

None of his close season signings have improved the team based on this season’s  performance save Errol since February. Standouts if any have been Brass, Binnie, Gillan. Bremner looks half decent but desperately need help.

No pace and get overrun by young fit teams - Haddington, Tynecastle, LTHV amongst others have shown this.

Still be there next week and next season hoping for better. Mon the Brox 🇵🇱🇵🇱

Interesting results and fixtures. To be safe we need to get over 38 points. 3 points next week and it's done.

Blackburn could make us safe on Tuesday by dropping points against Crossgates but I hope they can do it. If they get wins 3 against them, the Vale and Tynecastle. 38pts

Tynecastle would have to beat Hill of beath and lose against Blackburn. 38pts

Lothian thistle and Inverkeithing are in the same position as us but if they get  points and we get 0 points in the last 2 games then we're down.

Not likely we'll be going down but all a possibility still.

Good luck to all the teams, and congratulations to Linlithgow, deservedly Champions

    Broxburn safe 😰

The run of bad luck with defenders felt over a few weeks back... but seems to have returned now! Jordan Wright last week out for the season and then today losing Dan Nimmo early on. Hopefully this one isn't too serious and he'll be back soon. The Nimmo-Wright partnership had started to look like it could be pretty solid!

Despite that, what a great win today. Big Errol stepped back and did a tremendous job at the back alongside Brad Donaldson. A very makeshift defence, but done the job brilliantly... and two great saves from young Josh Blair towards the end of first half when Swifts did get by them.

A lot of energy in the midfield and we pretty much won today by outrunning them in that area. That pulled them out of position a few times and created a few chances. Just the one taken, though, nicely tucked in by young Rocco...

The nice thing was, despite the defence being about 7th choice, there was no hanging on for the win... they tried to get a bit more on the ball, but never really done anything with it, were kept safely at distance and really, Broxburn had a couple of chances for a 2nd.

Pretty pleased with most of today's performance and a very welcome 3 points that almost guarantees safety now (couple more points would be nice, though!)

Thought big Errol was a stand out today but any one of the back 5 could have been MOTM. Kept a very good Jeanfield at bay for most of the match.

Performances have been improving steadily under the new management and hopefully the results will too. Still going to be tight at the bottom once games in hand level out. Three more cup finals to go

Certainly a little slap back to reality after last weeks efforts!

Wasn't able to get along... so hopefully, despite defeat, there was a decent performance...

Dominated the game in terms of possession but created precious little. They looked the more dangerous but a game we let slip. As for the goals their first was offside (but a great finish nevertheless), our penalty was not a penalty but we had a stonewall one turned down 5 minutes earlier. Their second was a breakaway and again a great finish. Hopefully it’s a blip and we can start picking up points. In truth I’d rather have lost to Musselburgh and beat Swifts.

That's easily our best performance of the season... I think we are all a bit stunned by it!

Big Errol (no.9) was tremendous and his two goals were both brilliantly taken. He's had injury issues and been played out of position a lot... but we saw tonight, get him a run of games up top and fully fit and what a handful.

    I've just woken still chuffed!

There were good signs against Lithgae in the cup in midweek. I know we lost but played pretty well against the runaway league leaders. Really pleased they have continued it on. An important win and one or two more should be enough to stay up. Noticed that EU have put a bit of form together too so may only be 3 go down.  Important to keep it going in our next game.

To stay up, just play 541, back to basics and grind out points. Instead of what we have been doing which seems to leak goals at the wrong end. Lets be hard to break down first then the results will take care of themselves. Don't use 352.

7 Hard league games to go and it may go down to the wire, points against Inverkeithing, Dundonald and Crossgates will do it. Anything from mussleburgh, jeanfield, haddington or Penicuik would be a bonus.

Can’t disagree with that. We have scored 51 but unfortunately we have lost that amount too.

I’d go 451, 541 or 442 for the rest of the season and be hard to beat. Don’t have the players to go 352, 433 or 4231.

That worse Blackburn team has taken 4 pts out of 6 off you this season.

You also have to face Oakley and VOL which you should win which will make up the current points gap.  I don’t think Blackburn are worse Burnieman. There was not much between us this season. One win each and one draw says it all.

We don’t appear to have any fighting spirit which is crucial in a relegation dogfight. I know Blackburn have.

Cause it was a good squad they got.

On paper yes (lots of big name signings) but on the park no. Can’t think of any one of the new signings (there were 14) who has improved us this year.

Warning signs were there after 3 games when we struggled big time against K&D from the first division and very obvious when we went out the SC to Dunipace.

Current management inherited at shitshow which is going to be a huge job to turnaround.

Terrible performance today. It looks like we've given up and decided to be relegated.  you can see who have their eyes on their next club for next season so they don't go for even 70/30 challenges or come to a ball when required. We are too slow on the ball and then caught in possession, but is this because of players just going through the motions and not wanting the ball? Maybe a bit of both

With 10 games left, we could easily go on a run and lose all 10 of them.

This Tuesday, Linlithgow will be a heavy defeat, surely we won't play 3 upfront against them. Imagine if we do 🤪

Serious danger of going down. Can’t blame the current management as they inherited most of the players bar a couple. Last manager got far too long and should have been gone by October.

Think it’s a mixture of unhappy players and players not caring but we need a minimum of 6 points to stay up and just can’t see where we are going to get them.
