Ally Roy, NI u21 international released by Partick. A tad under whelming.

A Tad ,  not  what's required,   we are in the hunt for Doolan and then unveil Ally Roy,   did the same player not go AWOL at Thistle at the end of last seas on.   Our strikeforce currently consists of Roy, Carrick and Russell hardly inspiring us  to get season tickets

See EK has just signed a guy from Airdrie, another defender by the looks of it.  Anyone know much about him?   Fielding a team full of defenders by the looks of it next season..!

Dean Cairns i believe,   an old fashioned crowd favourite for no real reason actually,  skippered the under 19 s to the league title about 3 seasons back,  Started the following season at centre half in a poor under funded Airdrie side,  struggled badly at centre half and was then switched to defensive midfield, which to be fair he was effective to an extent,  prone to a high boot tackle and silly fouls late in games.   Probably found his level though..

Do not always believe what you read or what people are quoted in the paper.    The good thing about this season is there a no leaks coming from the club regarding players,   Most signings have been pleasantly surprising, I am sure there are more to come and if they consist of the rumoured Callum Gallagher and Craig Barr, I would think most fans would be happy.

Been looking at last years league table, need to aim to add a minimum of 10 goals, ideally 15+ to last years total.

Defensive record was pretty good, especially when you consider Murray didn't come in until late October. When you consider what looks like some really good defensive signings, you would expect that to continue to be positive.

    Fingers crossed for strikers.

Andy Ryan has resigned for dunfermline,   not too many quality strikers about at this level that are free agents...

The breakdown of a relationship as a result of the trust just not handing over cash when demanded?
I refer you to my original comment about controlling abusive relationships. Only one person in control at this club and it's seemingly his way or the highway. See the list of other directors jumping ship for an indicator on that. Dictatorships generally aren't very conducive to long term positive relationships between the dictator and the populous.

Having seen a few shysters at this club over the years and the standard of some of the other closed door boardrooms in Scottish football I'm taking the cynical view about ours.

Did the breakdown not begin with the apparent 'mix up' regarding the season just past Kitaid Free season tickets,   I am led to believe the club did not receive th e 10k for this gesture from the ST,  is this correct and has monies now been paid up.  I think the ST thought the club would fit the bill due to the ST being involved in the consortium and shares being purchased.   Can someone clarify.

I see we are linked with Kieran MacDonald in the Courier, what's your thoughts on him Diamonds?

Comfortable on th e ball ,  easily brushed aside at left back and final ball poor athletic not the worst left back.  best position is left centre back where he is decent and strolls through games, depends if your manager plays a back 3.  Personally liked him.

Aye, that worked a treat lasts year.

I used to be VERY negative on here and the stomp years ago, maybe its just since I've hit "mid 30's" or a couple a kids that's chilled me out.
But I'm really not fussed by anything that's happened so far.
I still stand by my original statement when Murray came in, I'm reserving judgement until a quarter of the season 19/20 is played.
We've signed 2 "new" guys so far, big deal, lots of transfers to be done and im fairly confident there will be "bigger names" to come.
I'm not unrealistic to think there's going to be guys dropping straight out the premiership down, but I trust Millar, and his track record enough to think that he's got enough experience of finding the very best player the budget can support.
I've always hated happy clappers who can't see the woods for the trees, but I think the negativity so far has been blown out of proportion.
    Chill out, yeah ......

you guys keeping kurtis roberts he looked a cracking player in the making

He has signed for the mighty Airdrie,   that's good you rate him highly,    if it's any consolation i think Clyde could be next season's dark horse in league 1,  good signings  especially wide players and Saint Daniel at the helm,  do not ask about our Hybrid system i do not know how it is to work and I don't think the club do yet either.

Yeah agree with that. Hope he does well but was really disappointed with him last season. Hopeless for most of it.

Well that's us padded out the squad with the part timers,   There is nothing we have signed or resigned that makes you think the new season will be any different than the last umpteen seasons...    We still need a minimum of 8 better QUALITY full time  players  to compete and get to the playoffs.

  10. Getting back onto the here and now,    that's another rival signed quality Part Timers Forfar signing Jordan Kirkpatrick, and relegated stenny signing Liam Buchanan.   Both of these players would have improved our team greatly..... Pre season training starts in 4 weeks,  not panic stations yet,  so far nothing to get excited about...   I would expect a statement of intent soon on the playing front, especially with season ticket renewals around the corner.
