  1. Wagner is 7/4, Anderson is 2/5. Both odds are from Ladbrokes.
  2. Fair enough, but it still acts to fuel the rumours of a switch.
  3. True, but Robson would have little choice. He only makes money in the BDO from the exhibitions - his tournament form is frankly pish (that might not be entirely true, but I'm not fully sober enough to check ... ).
  4. If Anderson swtiches, then his exhibition buddy (Gary Robson) will switch as well.
  5. He's a perennial lazy b*****d (as shown during the BDO Grand Prix on Setanta during the summer), so I'd probably say now. If he does sort himself out, then possibly.
  6. He's been left out of the Scotland Six Nations squad, so there's every chance. Simon Whitlock is all but confirmed to switch, as is Darryl Fitton.
  7. Agree with that, but there's only some that come across as likeable. Folk like Wade, Tabern and Terry Jenkins aren't p***ks, but just come across as a bit bland.
  8. To be fair, anyone who thought Stompe would do Taylor had at least some grounding in reality - he beat Taylor on the German Championships final with a 107 ave. last month, but I'm sure you already knew that.
  9. It's fantastic. Really likeable guy and he's having the time of his life up there. EDIT: Taylor wins 5-0 and, as per usual, gives away the board. That irritates me - it's not his bloody board to give away!
  10. Indeed, he is in overdrive tonight, poor soul. Anyway, back on topic.... Taylor is just relentless tonight. 5-0 whitewash on the cards, and you've got to feel sorry for Stompe, he's barely had a chance at a double, let alone a chance at winning a set.
  11. Two set lead established again by Merv, he's 4-2 up. Not sure Bates has much more fight left in him. EDIT: King wins it 5-2 and sets up a semi-final match between Taylor or Stompe.
  12. Anything but a stroll now, Barrie fighting back superbly to make it 2-2.
  13. Solid start from Merv so far. 80% checkout rate (yes, I know it's only 4/5), but still decent enough. EDIT: 134 checkout from King to take a 2-0 lead. Looking like a stroll in the park so far...
  14. I bet he's a right cheery soul away from the oche .... nah, on second thoughts.
  15. I see the PDC are continuing to follow the WWE model in everything they do - bouncers are ripping up any placards/signs in the crowd that 'may cause offence'. What's the world coming to etc etc .... EDIT: Forgot to mention, two potentially great matches on tonight. I think King vs Bates will be better than most expect, not that King will be troubled too much as I reckon he'll take it 5-2. Taylor/Stompe will be a belter. Taylor should go through comfortably. Then again Dudbridge should have beaten Bates ... Lewis should have beaten Nicholson, so anything can happen.
  16. Decent interview with him in the Sun today, says he puts his average form down to lack of motivation in the BDO. Now that he's playing against better opposition it's gave him a good kick off the backside.
  17. The things you miss when you're at the football ... Delighted that Klaasen and Stompe have made it through to the Quarter Finals and I'll catch the Barney/Baxter replay tomorrow - that sounds like a belter of a match.
  18. Yep, King is strolling this one.
  19. Order of play for today: Tuesday December 30 1.10pm - Paul Nicholson v Dennis Priestley 2.40pm - Dennis Smith v Mervyn King 4.10pm - Wayne Mardle v Co Stompe 7.10pm - Andy Hamilton v Jelle Klaasen 8.40pm - Raymond van Barneveld v Ronnie Baxter 10.10pm - James Wade v Vincent van der Voort Will miss most of the evening session if the Morton/Thistle game does go ahead, but the afternoon session is looking pretty tasty. Reckon that Priestley will have too much for Nicholson with King and Stompe joining The Menace in the next round.
  20. Awful performance from Dudbridge and Bates quite gleefully through to the next round.
  21. Fairly comfortable victory for The Power. Only a handful of guys capable of stopping Taylor this year, and Painter just wasn't one of them.
  22. Stompe vs Mardle should be a cracker ... though the way Sky are banging on, you'd be forgiven for not knowing who Mardle was playing tomorrow.
