Yes, excruciatingly slow - he put out 'veteran' Dave Askew in the qualifiers so must have something about him. Suljovic has impressed in previous outings, and is doing well tonight but can't seem to shake off Manley who is still hanging on in there. Looks like going to a deciding set.

Anderson vs Wagner is the first match of the tournament, with a 1pm start. Anderson WILL struggle in that match. Not only does he not like early rounds of tournaments, he hates early starts as well.

Lewis is the man for me this year, as long as he concentrates on the game. £2 on him @ 33/1 (each way, of course ) is a sound investment. van Gerwen has been off the boil for a few months so needs to find his form again and I reckon McDine could be good for a Quarter Final place. However, he'll need to beat Mervyn King to get there. King has been in sizzling form this year and if he brings his best, then he'll be a real force at this year's tournament.

As recently as Thursday that 'tbc' player was listed as the Indian qualifier on the planetdarts website, but they changed it to 'tbc', so something's clearly in the pipeline. Suppose we'll find out tomorrow when the draw is live on Sky Sports News at 2.30pm.

Gary Mawson won't be at the World Championships, he's been knocked out of the qualifiers today. Martin Adams also won a game on the telly there, a rare sighting this year.

However, he's not overly keen to move his family lock stock and barrel to do that.

That's because neither organisation are running the tournament.
