  1. Understand the emotional tie that will make it a less difficult decision for Foxy to leave however i cannot help think this is not a good move for him. He will be learning every week working under SP and now he is going to be working under a manager who was relegated with Albion Rovers and has got a team to mid table in the Lowland League. Would think he would be better off  getting invaluable experience under SP for a few  more seasons and then go for the Managers jobs at Forfar.

  2. I would be interested to hear what the Loons think of Docherty? I personally thought he was the worst player on the park and all he seems to do is shout at other players. He never encourages his teammates and I think that Forbes is no different. Looks like a lack of togetherness and team spirit in the Forfar camp and that's the one thing you need to pick the place up. Anyway hope you turn it around. Would not want to lose another derby.

  3. Really looking forward to the game. Will be a really good to test for our in form team. Enjoyed seeing the Mo win twice at Bayview last season, hopefully we can carry it on.

I would stick with the same team again as there is no need to change something that hasn't broken.  Sena is defiantly pushing for a start though.

Thoughts for Saturday - East Fife are on a roll, unbeaten at home but that has to come to an end sometime. We were beaten 3-1 at Links Park earlier in the season the turning point being reduced to ten men straight from the kick off after equalising. Who knows what the outcome of that game may have been having eleven players. We now have a settled side, a strong bench and good team spirit that has kept us in games this was was shown on Saturday when we won 2-1. The determination is there and there is no reason why we cannot get a result this Saturday.

No reason why we cant go there and win. As you said they have to get beat at some point. We went there twice last season and won so no reason why we cant be confident that the same can happen this season.

With that being said if you were to offer i draw i would take it now and then focus on getting three points against Forfar at home in the next game.

  5. Great win today. Always great to watch the team not quite at their best but still manage to get there points. Have to say I was quite impressed with Stranraer at times, they were dangerous going forward and although Lennox didn't have to do too much they seemed a threat. Dillo and Ballantyne were brilliant at the back. Watson had a great game and Callaghan again shows us how much he has impressed over the last few months as he had a great energetic performance. Four wins in a row! Bring on five!

Think we should go up there and kick lumps out of them just like they did down here , perhaps get a few of their players out injured for  a few weeks like they did down here to us .....

haha still bitter from the first game of the season? and i suppose if those players didnt get injured you would be in play off places would you?

  7. Always a tough game when Stranraer come to town however i am confident that the Mo can get another win. With three wins in a row the team will be full of confidence so hopefully we can make it four straight wins.

We need to be clinical. I think Currie is a great keeper and could be playing at a higher level.

  8. Great performances at both Clyde and Airdrie, thoroughly enjoyed watching the team the last few games.  Much more solid at the back and we have real pace up front with Webby, Lyons and McBeath however I have been most impressed with our midfield. The energy that we have in there with Ballantyne and Callaghan is ridiculous, they literally look like they could run all day, mix this with a very experienced Paul Watson to break up plan and slow things down when needed makes a very balanced team.

  9. Best Player at your club
Wee Jimmy Gomis. Uses the ball well, finds the spaces to play in and loves a tackle. A Scottish Tom Taiwo if you will. Even scored a peach at Stranraer.

    Worst Player at your club
This is a tricky one. I'm tempted to say Mark Durnan or Paul Dixon. It seems harsh to pick out two defenders when we've only conceded four goals in nine matches, but hey-ho. Other players haven't really featured such as Miller, Moore, Leitch & MacLean

    Manager(s) at your club Rating
We've put in passable performances for what I would consider 4.5 (Stranraer x 2, Montrose, Dumbarton + 45 minutes at Starks Park) out of our 9 matches. The other 4.5 have been dismal, and that is down largely to McKinnon's tactics. 4/10. The next quarter will be make or break for him. I do think we have been improving slowly over the last few weeks with our two latest draws coming against undoubtedly the two best teams we have faced. I  don't think we'll drop as many silly points over the rest of the season as we did over the first few games but McKinnon has been learning extremely slowly so far

Best Signing of the summer at your club?
Given just about every player in our squad was signed this summer I'd have to go for Gomis for the reasons listed above and in terms of his consistency. Other candidates would be Telfer, Connolly, McManus and Longridge who have shown flashes.

    Worst Signing at your club
Michael Tidser has probably been the most disappointing in terms of expectations. Saying that, he's generally been played too deep my McKinnon imo. The only game he played high up the park was against Dumbarton and impressed. Denny Johnstone will also rightly be disappointed with his lack of contribution so far.

Most Improved Player at your club?
Probably David McMillan as he has gained match sharpness.

    Who's winning the League?
I still think we'll win the league but currently making hard work of it under McKinnon.

    Who's making the playoffs?
Raith Rovers, East Fife and Airdrie. In that order.

    Who's finishing 9th?
Stranraer, really can't see where the goals are going to come from for them

    Who's going down?
Montrose, who barely resemble a football team tbh

    Best player in the league?
Ryan Thomson has impressed me as well as Scott Agnew. I wasn't at Starks on Saturday but this Regan Hendry chap seems to be well regarded.

Highlight so far of the season?
Probably Dumbarton at home.  6-0 up after 52 minutes with some decent goals thrown in. Sums up our season so far that they're now sitting 5th in the league and only 3 points behind us.

    Lowlight?
Losing 1-0 to a poor Clyde side, letting down over 1,500 away fans in the process. A truly vintage FFC thing to do.
Barely resemble a football team. Bit disrespectful no? Do you remember we gave you lot a right good game and if it wasnt for our keeper making a ridiculous mistake we would have come away with a draw.
  10. Obviously a disappointing first quarter for the Mo however i could have predicted it once we were aware of the fixtures and also with the injuries we had to key players.

We have now won our last two games and the team looks a lot more confident. SP looks now to have a fair idea of who is best team is.

I fully expect us to do a lot better in the next quarter and pick up more points. Wont be long until we have climbed right up that table.

  11. You expect us to plummet on the evidence of seeing 1 game ?
We have been on a very good run and have had some very good results and performances. Today was just a very bad day. We’re also very depleted with injuries to key players and I don’t think we’ve managed to fill the bench with subs all season. We had 4 available today and 2 of them came on after being out injured.
Disappointing day but not a bad first quarter all in all.

  12. What a relief to finally get our first win of the season.  I thought we were brilliant apart from the first 5 minutes of the second half. Every goal could be a contender for goal of the season.

Blair Lyons - what a player. Exceptional signing for us and to get him signed up for next season was a great bit of business.

Thought that was Liam Callaghan's best game in a Mo shirt.

Hopefully we can now climb up the calendar.
