  1. I posted earlier that I am not a fan of Conferences and should be merit based. However, the decision has been made. I have had a go at how Conferences might look, just to give an example. I took current Junior League positions and averaged points to the end of the full league season to determine seedings. This presumes there will be an even number from each League in each Conference, it would be unfair to have 6 Premier teams in one Conference and 2 in another. The seedings are in blocks of 4, 1 to 4, 5 to 8, 61 to 63 etc. I have presumed 63 Junior Clubs and 5 new entrants. I don't know who the new entrants are or their current level so have classed them as non Junior for now. I manipulated 6 Ayrshire teams in each Conference and tried to have as many local derbies as possible but still within the seedings. Seed 1 Auchinleck, 2 Kilwinning, 3 Pollok, 4 Glenafton etc Conference A Auchinleck, Beith, Cumnock, Rob Roy, Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, Gartcairn, P'hill, Winton, Bellshill, Larkhall, Royal Albert, Ashfield, Thrn'wood, Saltcoats, Lugar, Non Junior Conference B Kilwinning, Kilbirnie, Largs, Benburb, Shotts, Dalry, St Rochs, Craigmark, Port Gla, Greenock, Maryhill, Wishaw, Johnstone B, Forth, St Ants, Ardeer, Non Junior Conf C Pollok, Meadow, Rossvale, Troon, Blantyre, Neilston, Arthurlie, Irv Vics, Shettleston, Perthshire, Girvan, EK, Muirkirk, Maybole, VOC, Non Junior, Non Junior Conf D Glenafton, Hurlford, Clbank, Glencairn, Darvel, Renfrew, Whitletts, Cambusl, Lanark, Lesmahagow, Carluke, Kello, VOL, Yoker, Newmains, Annbank, Non Junior
  2. I hear that... WRJFA is encouraging all West teams to apply. Meeting has already taken place on 20th with all regions to allow changes to Scottish Cup entry.
  3. The Bellshill Committee applied without any supporter consultation per earlier post. Other Clubs will be going back to supporters after the meeting on 23rd to let Members/Shareholders decide.
  4. But you still took the time to post on here we need some distractions.
  5. Season is void so no useful information can be determined from current League positions! However, we do need to seed the Conferences, what shall we use? I've got an idea why don't we use current League positions? And have 4 teams from each League in a Conference and include non Junior applicants. No recognition whatsoever of the level that teams have played at for years. It will be very few that have been relegated or promoted more than one League. But because the EoS did this, in completely different circumstances, new applicants joining an established League rather than the transfer of an active League structure, the West has to follow suit. Total waste of a season.
  6. Roll on the meeting on 23rd to put to bed the nonsense being posted on here. Did any of the misbelievers actually attend the meeting on the 12th? Most who did attend came away with a feeling of positivity that compromise was likely. The cancelled meeting on the 24th was surely to pass on the outcome of the meeting on the 23rd and to discuss options if any Club didn't want to move. All this talk of WRJFA sub plots and ulterior motives, give me strength. The people that want this to fail are posters on here and the majority don't support West Region Clubs.
  7. I agree, if compromise is agreed West Juniors will still be SJFA members.
  8. The SJFA are effectively finished for the West Region. They will only be running the Scottish Cup and administering what's left of the rapidly diminishing Junior Grade elsewhere. They will have no say in the Pyramid or how the WoSFL is run. I am really struggling with why this is a concern to some of you going forward. In time a national non league Cup will be established and the Junior Cup will disappear. Funds should be distributed to member Clubs after redundancy payments and all other debts have been settled.
  9. Hopefully those that are actually involved in the process continue to make progress. The nay sayers on here that aren't happy because it looks like they won't get exactly what they want are now boring the arse off me.
  10. I just don't get why some on here are getting their knickers in a twist about retaining SJFA membership and the Scottish Cup. All the SJFA will be doing is running the Scottish Cup. I am sure in a few years there will be an all in non league Cup run by the SFA and the Junior Cup will die off. New applicants to the WoSFL don't need to join the SJFA. Junior Clubs should be able to resign if they wish. If Clubs don't want to progress through the Pyramid they don't need to. I believe that all these Clubs want is a league structure to play in. Accept compromise for now and tweak as the new structure evolves.
  11. If the compromise proposal goes ahead I wonder if Kilwinning Rangers and Clydebank will still resign from the SJFA. Current benefits would be Junior Cup entry and a Share of £500k. If the fund is shared around Clubs as a Corona virus hardship fund and in future an all in Scottish Cup is proposed run by the LL. What would future benefit be?
  12. I think the West Juniors need to get their feet in the door first. But as many have said on here the Scottish Cup has been devalued since the East Juniors left for the EoS. An all in non-league Scottish Cup will hopefully be considered going forward.
  13. None of what I posted is a done deal, all up for discussion, I would say especially Junior Cup entry for former members, that's why I posted in brackets.
  14. West Region criticised for not going alone and sticking with all in. Now they have gone alone "what's happening with North and East Juniors"
  15. West Region Juniors join WOSFL en masse. May not need to submit application. SJFA membership is retained as is entry to Scottish Cup. (East Juniors should have the option to re-join SJFA if they wish to participate in Scottish Cup). WOSFL rules apply, no reinstatement or player fines, or permits for friendlies or limits on squad sizes etc League fixtures take precedence, Scottish Cup will be fitted in. Possible changes to replays and 2 legged semi finals. Win, win for everyone if this goes ahead. Well done Gordon Ronney and LL for hopefully making this happen.
  16. The League may be a done deal but does it have access to the Pyramid?
  17. How do you get people positioned right for year 2? Seeded conferences are the quickest way to get everyone to their level. I have to disagree with you. We already know who the strongest teams are because the proposal is to use their League positions to determine their seeding. It's a wasted year to get everyone to their level, we already know their level. The non Junior teams can be slotted in appropriately.
  18. How do you know this? Other posters say that the Club's forming the new League(s) will have a say in how they are formed. It won't necessarily be a mirror of what happened in the East.
  19. Old ground I know but I hope that LL WOSFL decide to set up Leagues based on end of season League positions as 90+% will be transferring from the Juniors with other applicants being slotted in appropriately. This will encourage more of the bigger Junior Clubs to transfer. This is not the same situation as the East where an influx of Clubs was joining an already established League.
