  1. What a game didn't expect that scoreline so much for ICT being a team that plays for 0-0 draws Keatings was brilliant so was McCart. The whole team played great but those two were the stand outs for me. Morton just collapsed in the 2nd half they actually weren't too bad in the first half. Once we scored the second goal we gained confidence & ran riot.
  2. Dundee fans saying we were playing for a 0-0 draw? What game were they watching?? Wasted chance for 3 points from an ICT perspective . Dundee look very average it was the same against Dunfermline. I would be worried for the Dundee derby if I was a Dark Blues man. Shankkand won't waste those chances & you would imagine on the day that Utd will provide much more quality then a lot of the other teams in the Championship
  3. Thoughts on today's game fellow Caley Jags? I thought it was quite an even game we had our fair share of chances & our first clean sheet of the league campaign. I personally thought we should of won it near the end we definitely should of scored at least once during the whole 90 minutes. Quite a few positives to take from it IMO don't get me wrong it wasn't an amazing performance but considering how lackluster we were against Dundee FC back in late July it's definitely an improvement. We just need Welsh back 100%. Don't think we will miss Brad Mackay too much unless Rooney or Mcart/Donaldson gets injured. Looking forward to Friday night's game against Morton under the floodlights & in front of the TV cameras. We need to win these type of games if we want to have any hope of being in the play offs.
  4. Weird that cause we had more shots in total & had the same amount of shots on target We actually had the first shot on target Doran forcing a good save from Hamilton & minutes before that we had the first chance of the game with Keatings header. Our off targets were pretty close Carl Tremarco's deflected effort hitting the post & we were inches wide on a couple of occasions. We nearly won it near the end so don't know where you are getting playing for a 0-0 draw from. I would say ICT matched Dundee pretty well today & would of won it on another day. Pretty even game in the end
  5. Of course it happened we just have coloured pictures of our last major cup win that's the difference...
  6. Reckon if ICT turn up we should have a decent chance Dundee are nothing special unlike their neighbours across the road. Very average team from what I've seen so far.....
  7. Never mind the whisky he needs to put down that needle & spoon give up the smack & realise Dundee are crap....
  8. Going on about life expectancy when Dundee is the drug death capital of Europe i will think your will find people are a lot healthier up in the Highlands. People don't call it Scumdee for nothing. .
  9. Jesus most of those achievements were in the 60,s/70,s. Last time you won the League cup in 73 John Lennon was still alive. It may be one cup but at least it was recent not when King Edward VII Was king Just another has-been Scottish club that used to be big but are now a tin pot club.
  10. You follow a team that plays at a stadium called Gayfield that's more gayer then a thousand LBGT flags. If it pisses you that much don't come back to watch your team lose again simple as
  11. First half was pretty decent in my opinion especially the first 25 minutes that was when we created most of our chances could of scored a few by HT had we been more clinical. Again though we conceded when we looked comfortable. We failed to deal with a Thomson cross from the right he found Bobby Linn who got way too much time & space on the ball giving him enough power to smash it past Ridgers. Carson seemed to be the only one who tried to block it. Jordan White didn't have a good day at the office his head got on the end of about 3 decent crosses but he failed to find the back of the net. There was Good link up play between him & Vincent with the handball incident he just couldn't quite pull it off today. On another day i'm pretty sure he would of scored at least one of those chances. Doran got in a good couple of scoring positions but sometimes I thought he was trying to be too clever. He got a brilliant chance to score after a lovely pass from Keatings but took way too much time to decide where he was going to shoot. The Arbroath keeper (Jamieson) managed to come of his line & save from close range he then saved Tom Walsh's rebound which was a pretty good save to be fair. Keatings nearly scored a great goal with a bycycle kick just needed a bit more power. It was a brilliant assist from him to Doran for the first goal that through ball was perfect & this time Doran took no time & was composed enough to score. The 2nd half was not as good we were very lucky Arbroath didn't score again. I don't know how the hell they missed that chance shortly after the whistle it was a very dangerous cross from McKenna which was begging to be smashed in the net how Spence missed that opportunity is beyond me. We didn't create as many chances as we did in the 1st half a low cross from Walsh found Doran in a great position but his shot was comfortably saved by Jamieson. A Walsh corner then found Mccart his effort was just wide. It got worse when Storey came on not his fault it was just cause Arbroath decided to play deep due to Storeys pace. We definitely play much better when teams play higher up. After that we were really struggling & looked like we were lacking ideas. Storey caused some problems & he got lucky with the goal. He did well to cut inside from the left & it was a great shot but Jamieson should of saved it with both hands the power of the shot got the better of him he won't want to see that again anytime soon...... We could of killed the game off after a decent move from the team resulted in Walsh finding Keatings his deflected shot just going wide. Good save from Mark Ridgers right on the 90th minute Donnelly managed a wee spin in the box & pulled of a shot no one saw coming apart from Ridgers good reflexes & reaction from our number one. Was without a doubt an ugly win just scraping by in the end not quite the 5-2 spectacle 25 years ago. It's Good to get our home campaign off to a winning start but we gotta do better against Dundee.
  12. The same "Wee fat manager" that your team tried to sign up but got told to do one instead now you are stuck with last resort James Mcpake cause no one wants to manage Dundee.
  13. What are Dundee fans even doing on this thread? Have they forgotten that they haven't won a major honour in 45 years & are utter crap???? Wow you beat ICT 1-0 & failed to concede against Peterhead Cove Rangers & Raith Rovers in the league cup group stages what an achievement I know ICT & Dundee Utd fans can agree on one thing Dundee FC are absolute dog crap & have no place on this thread so do us all a favour & go watch your team lose to Dunfermline
  14. And???? He was average or poor in every single one of those games. Players like him are the reason why Dundee Utd are still in the championship utter crap. Pretty much handed St Mirren their goal in the play off final.
  15. Is that donkey Mark Connolly still playing regularly for Utd? If he is starting ICT have got a chance
  16. I love it when fans of crap teams like Dundee slag off ICT''s style of play when they have been dog crap for years it gives me a good laugh that's for sure
  17. Was a good performance yesterday totally did not expect that. St Johnstone controlled the game untill our 2nd goal but they just didn't manage to test us that much pretty naive from our young RB Nicholson pulling the St Johnstone players arm. I thought Nicholson didn't have the best of games. But that's not a bad thing cause he will learn from it. Was good work from Tom Walsh for our first goal laid it on a plate for Keatings who smashed it in the back of the net. Todorov had a great game IMO looked pretty decent at CB & worked hard playing up front too. Was a great header from him for the 2nd goal. Brilliant work from Roddy McGregor for the third goal he found Mitch Curry who did a decent cut back to Machado who was in the right place at the right time & he took his goal brilliantly it was a pretty decent finish into the bottom right corner. Machado looks a real talent & I have no doubt he will get game time this season McGregor & Brown also look like they could be up for a first team challenge this season . Won't be getting too excited about a friendly game but me & my friend left Grant St Park in quite an upbeat mode. It was a good game much better then our normal boring pre season games against the Highland league teams.
  18. You should of seen it after we lost to the 2nd leg to Dundee Utd Jesus Christ
  19. He wasn't 100 % fit maybe 60% at a push. Same with Tom Walsh but we had no choice but to play them due to our squad being so thin.....
