  1. Agree, whatever we are being paid to wear it, it's not enough.
  2. Shouting and swearing at someone because you think they are no good at their job is pretty much a perfect definition of abuse.
  3. Went past this afternoon and there were new signs on the gate for Calma Group, a building company from Shawfield. No sign of any workers or equipment on site though.
  4. Think if you want to watch it has to be through the fence on the far side alongside the parents.
  5. Well Tony Quinn heard the abuse, spoke to him a few times and he mentioned it more than once. Caven got it tight from the centre stand before then. I also remember Andy Millen getting dogs abuse from the centre stand when he signed, funnily enough that only lasted one game.
  6. Broke his leg with QP at the start of the 2019/20 season, think he went out on loan once he recovered and never came back.
  7. Unlikely that winning today's shoot out would have been enough, only two teams have qualified from second place with eight points since the competition was reorganised, and none with seven points which is the best we can do now.
  8. According to the BBC website Radio Scotland had an interview with Leanne Dempster tonight in which she said that she hopes that building work will restart at Lesser "soon". Says we might even be in by the end of the year but should be there by the start of next season at the latest.
  9. Two appearances in the truncated 2019/20 season.
  10. What does the letter requesting the EGM ask for?
  11. Queen's said 350 to 400 was the likely capacity for our initial games at Firhill in an email to the club's members a couple of days ago.
  12. At the time of the vote In November 2019 the ambition stated was to try to be the best part time team in the country, up with the likes of Alloa and Arbroath. No mention of full time football which was then announced out of the blue in May 2020. The only club the committee are running these days is the social club. And that's been shut for 18 months!
  13. UEFA won't be away until after the last sixteen match next week. Think the meeting depended on covid restrictions being lifted as well. Wondered about him as well with the previous connection to the club, saw him a few times on TV for Alloa last season and I thought he struggled to make an impact on games.
  14. SKA was loaned to Thistle and Queen's last season, both full time. Wouldn't be surprised if we were looking to bring him back to QP.
  15. I went past this morning and there were workmen in putting a fence around the pitch again, so perhaps things may be about to restart.
  16. Liam Brown confirmed signing- official website says that we paid a fee for him. Pleased with this signing, a good start.
  17. Makes a change from coming up here and wondering if it will be one season or two before we go back to the League Two board.
  18. Talk of extending the player's gym suggests that the plans for Lesser have changed, wonder if the farmhouse will survive?
  19. Any surpluses are kept within the club and not paid out so that would fit with the description given. I think Brechin had a similar model but were looking at changing their set up before their relegation, not aware of any others.
  20. If you are suggesting that Coll was kept out of the Queen's first team by Andy Robertson then I think you are being very kind to him. He didn't get a regular starting place until six months after Andy left and was part of a team that finished as club 42 by a country mile, I also don't recall any outcry when he was released in 2014. He was a youngster then and may have improved with experience, but comments from Forfar fans would suggest otherwise.
  21. He was young when he played for Queen's, but he was part of our worst ever team in 2013/14.
  22. Piece about Queen's on Alba at half time in the Dumbo/Edinburgh game. Not much new information, Leanne Dempster talked about hoping to get a final match at Hampden, also saying that the academy will get a lot of attention and she hopes that in ten years time most of the first team players will come from the academy. Nothing said about the manager, when building work will restart at Lesser or where we will be next season. Some shots of the players training, looked like Pollok Park, with McKinnon in the background of a few shots. Michael Doyle wearing a suit jacket and shirt and tie whilst training!
  23. Not the craziest thought. MacPherson was exactly what we needed in 2014 and did an excellent job. However, we are a different club now and I'm not sure he would be the best option. If we go down the former manager route I wouldn't be unhappy if Billy Stark returned, he will have an excellent knowledge of young players from his time with Scotland, and the blend of youth and experience he put together in 2006/07 played some of the best football I've seen us play.
  24. Murray Park if they're lucky, more likely some junior ground in the middle of nowhere.
  25. Not sure about Kettlewell, did ok as a joint manager but seemed to struggle on his own. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a Hibs connection, which probably means Stubbs or Lennon, and I doubt Lennon would drop down to League One.
