  1. Was at both games in Edmonton and it has been great to watch the last few months. This is so good for the sport in Canada, especially with co-hosting in 2026. Unbelievably the half-wits who run the Provincial government still have not endorsed Edmonton as one of the host cities. They have no idea what the economic benefits alone would mean to Edmonton as well as the province. Onward and upward for Qatar, if Scotland qualify hope we are not in the same group as we would struggle against this Canadian team.
  2. Ooft. My Dad's favourite tipple. Usually accompanied by a half of export or Fowlers wee heavy when they were still around.
  3. Absolutely. He didn't need to go near him. Dominated the second half and thought we deserved a goal. Currently in Mexico on holiday so hopefully the same bar we watched the game in will have the Jamaica game on.
  4. Fit like Buc, I'm more of a browser than a poster on here but good to see you're on here.
  5. For the older supporters amongst us, you're describing Davie Robb to a Tee.
  6. I assume you're a Flames fan...just a bit envious are we? Calgary got what they deserved when they hired Sutter, a total dinosaur who should retire from coaching. Are we lucky to have him? Certainly, but it's remarkable to see what he does on a nightly basis. Best part of this is on April 17 he had 69 points in 42 games, he then proceeded to score 31 points in 11 games, a once in a generation player. Maybe he'll run it up against the Flames in the playoffs....oh wait...
  7. The 1976 Final I believe, the same two teams with the fat, diving, cheating arsehole Derek Johnstone with the goal in 42 seconds.
  8. Great stuff from the club. We need to do more of this.
  9. Agree with this 100%. He's been a great manager for us and it's sad it ended this way. Good luck to him and TD. This is a big moment for Cormack, he really needs to get this right.
  10. Agree with this, we would most certainly have to replace Cosgrove, likely Wright as well. We're short on both of those types of player with only Main and Anderson as options up front. Not sure who on the bench would replace Wright, McGinn maybe? McLennan? Pretty tough when we're coming up against the end of the window to find replacements.
  11. 1970-71 season Hibs ended our 12 consective games without conceding a goal. Pat Stanton in game 13 at Easter Road somewhere around the hour mark.
  12. I see Derby County have announced that they can't afford to pay players wages from December. That boy Shinnie they have worth a look?
  13. Jinxed it min, surefire Dons signing now.
  14. Well done Saints, fantastic result for Scottish fitba.
  15. A two for one here. Fernando Pasquinelli and John Stewart in a 3-2 win against Celtic at Parkhead.
  16. If that is Arthur Graham then that's the closest McGrain ever got to him.
  17. My bad, should have read the question properly...like I said, auld bugger.
  18. Because I'm an auld bugger I'd have said Dave Smith and brothers Jinky and Joe.
  19. "Peter Latchford collects a cross", pretty unusual occurrence that, mind you we don't actually see him catch the thing.
  20. For Dons fans it must be Derek "Cup Tie" McKay. A total of 19 appearances and 4 goals. All of them in the Scottish Cup, including 2 in the 1970 final vs Celtic.
  21. We wore the blue and white stripes because, for some obscure reason, the ref decided that the red diagonal stripe on the Clydebank kit was a clash with the all red. Our away kit was unsuitable so we had to borrow a kit from a Junior side, possibly Lewis United, as a one-off. The candy stripe kit, which we wore in the mid sixties was a light blue with two red and white stripes.
  22. I believe the Spurs goalscorer was Ralph Coates. Along with Drew Jarvie, two magnificent comb overs on display that night. We were pumped 4-1 in the second leg I think.
