It’s ridiculous that this is the reason that a game that could well decide the title can’t be shown on tv. Get that rule in the bin.

We played well today but we’ve lost ground on 8th and games are quickly running out. If we could play like we do away form at home I would be confident of getting out of trouble but we don’t and having to rely on winning games away is never a recipe for success. Ridiculous that I think a point away to top of the league has confirmed us in 9th but with every other team capable of picking up wins, and some with games in hand, I don’t see us catching any of the teams above us.

I pretty much feel the same. His reaction at the end of the game today was weird. He seemed to be delighted with the point and I think he was expecting a bigger reaction from the fans. Don’t get me wrong, going away to top of the league and getting a point is a good result but they were there for the taking and we didn’t seem to be playing to win the game. It seemed as though we were settling for the point and if a chance happened to come our way to win it then that would be a bonus, as opposed to actually giving it a proper go. We did have chances in the second half and towards the end of the game but nothing that was a clear cut goalscoring opportunity in my opinion. We aren’t getting out of this by drawing games we need to win and it needs to start with Partick next weekend.

Where is best to park these days? I always used to go in the car park that is opposite the snug but that is obviously gone now. I just parked on the street for the Dundee game last summer. Not sure if it will be safe to do that again.

The only problem with Adams is that he isn’t a goal scorer and he has missed some proper sitters for us. He will chase after every ball, run the channels all day long and is pretty good at holding the ball up. You don’t really get much credit for all that from fans, probably rightly so when you are there to score goals as well, but I think he’s our best striker.

I think Shankland has put on a decent enough showing but I’d still have Adams as our first choice striker.

Making his mistakes in meaningless friendlies instead of major tournaments is a genius move from him imo

I came into this game thinking as long as Scotland put in a decent performance even if losing the game then that will be fine but this Dutch team is fucking rancid.

I don’t really think the issue is the strikers. If you have Billy, for sure, and possibly Samuel the service they’d score goals. The problem is the lack of a proper creative attacking midfielder to create those chances. I think Doran is past it at this level but I’m at the stage where I think he needs to be starting games. I’d also like to see us going 4 at the back at home. Though I think we did that for the last part of the game today and it didn’t make much difference?

I’m 99% sure relegation would mean part time football for us. Pretty much every player is out of contract in the summer so it could well be a decision that’s made no matter what.

Until now I’d always been reasonably confident we would stay above 9th. We had Dunfermline, Airdrie and yourselves all to play at home. I thought we’d pick up at least one win from that. We’ve drawn 2 and lost 1 and not scored apart from a penalty. The games have all been dreadful and we don’t create any clear chances, or even half chances really. Away from home we always seem to pick up results so while I’m not expecting anything from our next two games (away to Dundee Utd and Partick) it wouldn’t surprise me if we won one of those or even took 4 points from them. The reality is though I fully expect to take 0 points from them two and be 4 points or so off 8th. Every team in the mix above us all look capable of putting a few wins together. Weather that is winning 2 in a row or winning 2 out of 3 and that is something we just don’t look like doing. We don’t do it in fact, we haven’t won 2 games in a row all season. Im resigned to 9th place now to be honest and I don’t feel like we can win on aggregate against any of the league 1 teams that would be in the playoffs, nevermind having to do that twice. On Ferguson I’m in a really weird situation with it. As above I don’t have much faith that we will stay in the division but if we do I actually think he could put together a decent team and win more than we lose. That would obviously depend on the financial situation though.

Fergusons record isn’t actually that bad. If we had kept Wotherspoon or even bothered to replace him with a similar player I think we would be a decent team. Granted you can blame Ferguson for not replacing him properly.
