It’s mental I can’t get a consistent score, frustrates the life out my, if I’m driving well and playing irons well my chipping and putting is awful... If putting and chipping well my driving and irons are awful!!!

Out for a round today for the final card to gain my handicap! Great front 9 of 39 ( 3 over ) back 9, A bit of a slog started par par then went a bit wayward ended up coming in in 46 so finished 85! Cards handed in are 83 85 88. My touch around the green has improved massively, been getting lessons on my short game and it’s helped out so much. Slowed my backswing down as I was keeping the face far too open and was turning my wrists to correct on the downswing and I was railing right so that has helped me out a lot! Great seeing the progress out on the course but still missing too many putts for birdie/par but all in all I’m delighted with how I’ve taken to golf!

Played winterfield today £30 a round! Course is a bit meh but the greens are terrific. The council maintain the course and if true they’ve done an exceptional job... too many par 3s

Got fitted for my P770s today and I’m in love, the first time I’ve ever hit a forged iron and the feel is unbelievable. The distances I was getting from them was staggering. I’m quite a long hitter of a ball but my aliment can be a bit off but the altered that so my miss left is more central... something to do with a plus and minus! They arrive in October and I can’t wait to get out on the course with them!!!

Or the anal beads he wears at press conferences!!! He worked extremely hard to get where he has and I hope he gets a title shot..... don’t see him winning one but he deserves it

Played again today my mate went round in 74 and it’s the first time I’ve seen him play, his ball striking was unbelievable!

Hahaha I had a few like that but it helps you understand what exactly is going wrong so you have a a better gauge instead of guessing. The worse I play the more I want to get out!! I played 66 on the front 9 after going par par, came in with 38, it would appear that the front 9 everything I’ve learnt about my rehearsal shot to my hand, sternum and feet positioning went right out the window. I took a 12 on a par 5 [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I’ve been on the trackman a few times and what a machine that is... my face at impact was like 3.4 and it was all because my backswing and follow through were at a ratio of 1-1 it’s not been changed to 1-3 and it’s helped massively. On the range my distances are great but on the course they are slightly shorter and that’s what’s frustrating me! I know wind etc plays a part but being consistent with a club is proving a challenge

Managed an 87 tonight with a 10 and two 6s!!! Few wayward tee shots but my putting was very very good! Had no 3 putts whatsoever so that was extremely pleasing! Still having slight issues with my distances but happy with my progress

I coach under 16s and we are only allowed to train in groups of 10, we have 20 players with two coaches and we use a half park each and players are not allowed to swap coaches! We aren’t even allowed to use goals... sessions are 40minutes maximum and players are not allowed to enter without sanitising their hands! All equipment must also be cleaned before and after use! It’s a bit severe considering these players go to a school with up to 1500 people.... a lot of mixed messages but better just doing all we can and following guidelines so we can all enjoy football again. The more who disregard the rules the longer we will have to wait!

You get a starter on the first tea, I was bricking it ripped my 5iron down the fairway so that alone was a win [emoji23][emoji23] just tried to play everything as a bogey never attacked greens I could reach with two iron shots!!!

Well it’s the morning after and my legs are in bits, the front 9 was comfortable but the back 9 was long. The par 3 was playing 235 hit a 4 hybrid and ended up 30 short and managed to end up with a 4. Front 9 was 41 and back 9 was 43. Played off the yellow teas and the wee man played of green and managed a 97 was a great course and couldn’t of asked for better conditions! Used my driver once down the 18th so I played sensible. I would go back and play tomorrow

Good or bad I’m just taking it for the experience of playing there mate. Brought 25 balls just at the off chance lol

My golf guy has been saying the 16th at Carnoustie is brutal... 245 yard par 3!!! Never needed to lay up to a par 3 before [emoji23][emoji23]

I play Carnoustie at half 3 and I’ve woke up nervous lol....

The wife has surprised me with an awesome weekend. I have a weekend away at the Rusacks in St Andrews with a round on the jubilee course and one on Carnoustie. Absolutely delighted so no doubt pictures will follow

I called up to try and book the 3 courses for £300 over 3 days I wanted the weekend of 18/9/20 but they have a competition. So trying to find dates that suit me now.
