Big shoes to fill..... good too see Andy continue to work with the club and keep up the good work they have already put in place.... off the field the effort put in has been a credit to the people there who have given their time to help....... On the field over the years they have progressed no doubt.....but face a big challenge now ...... Be interesting to see if any one comes aboard to assist or manage, Stevie Rankin the obvious choice to step up but has he got the desire to take the job,Ryan McStay could also come into the reckoning as coach/manager....has the experience.....

doing no bad for a team who is struggling to get a team on the park for games.....

Watched Gareth a few times over the years,most notably when he was with Lanark 1st time out ... came to our attention when John Fallon jnr and snr were at the Town ....they raved about him and were looking to bring him to the Town .but was clear he would go senior...decent keeper Lanark must have to keep him out..

Maryhill 0 Shettleston 5......McGrotty continued his impressive start to the season scoring a 1st half hat-trick.... After a great midweek win at Greenock I expected a tough encounter today from Maryhill.....but in truth our defenders where rarely troubled...winning anything that came their way with ease...going forward we destroyed them and then got the rough treatment.... Great start to the season ,unbeaten, scoring goals,young squad (oldest 27), playing decent fiba,.....

Big job up for grabs....

great response shown today after going down 1-0 so early in the game Rovers couldn't handle Our striker McGrotty ,the big chap scored a superb equaliser before having a hand in the 2nd (og) and grabbing his 2nd all before the 30 min mark..... Much needed 3pts after our draws in the opening games......

Pre season at the Town the last few seasons have seen a revolving door in operation trying to get a a settled squad for kick off...its was murder to watch at times and off field problems didn't help with change of managers and coaching staff on numerous occasions. This season see's another clear out ,losing good players like Craig Young,Ryan Scott,Andy Hunter and Jack Crumlish while we have retained Danny McLean,Danny Irvine,Ryan Frances,Liam Fergusson,Jordan McGrotty,Anthony Dempsey and Craig Connelly. With another 12 players signed now taking us to 19 its looking pretty settled going into our last Pre season friendly away to Gartcairn next saturday. A tough opening fixture in the sectional cup away to Pollok awaits .......

Its been another rebuilding job for Shettleston. From last season we have resigned Gk Danny McLean, Anthony Dempsey, Craig Connelly, Steven Logan and Top scorer Liam Fergusson... Scott Cameron, Dylan Kennedy, David McCallum and Steffan Graham have all joined the club..

Looking forward to going back to Lanark,Gasworks and the Gow,all great old style grounds better than this cage shite..... The Gow would be one of my favs..nice wee pub and walk to the game....think we may have been the last team to visit before the tsunami hit your ground...

Gracie is a great player ,good bit of business getting him back Think wee tried to lure him to Greenfield when he left Albion Rovers,..always a thorn our side over the years with his goals against us...
