  1. Daily Record reporting that Man City and Chelsea are looking at Ethan Sutherland. Probably goes under the radar a tad due to how good Steven and Wales have been but he's been excellent, particularly for someone so young. Very quick and fairly physical and Saturday was probably his best defensive performance so far, was going to say I could see him pushing for a start at St Mirren next season but might not actually be there!
  2. Remember him being decent enough at Ayr but been very good a couple of times I’ve seen him this year. Can imagine Dundee getting a good chunk for him if they’ve got him on a decent contract.
  3. Always happy to hear alternative opinions and can confirm I would not have gone on a rant! For me, the diving is only really a small part of the frustration but I think it summarises the issue that I have in that he would rather go to ground than get a decent cross in or beat a man and have a shot. The point that Kevchenko made that when he is poor he's really poor is a good one, and is part of my thinking in that if you had a Sutherland or a Buchanan there instead they would at least offer some pace on the break even if it's not coming off for them individually. He was really good last year and I think we all expected him to push on which may have been halted due to a lack of games or a lack of confidence, but he's just not someone I look at on the team sheet who I would rely on to grab a goal, which I think Sutherland (particularly last few weeks) does. I for one hope he scores every week from now until the end of the season and will be happy to eat humble pie on the way to the championship
  4. Have to say my patience with Quinn Coulson is starting to wear thin. The constant diving, cutting back and back again and again, and the lack of end product mean we just look so much weaker on the left side for me when he’s starting. He isn’t even overly quick to help to stretch teams either. Think our best option is still Sutherland on the wing and O’Donnell at left back, hope Andy plays that next week at Cove in what is the definition of the 6 pointer cliche.
  5. Probably should’ve dropped your goalie after all eh lads!
  6. Think the greatest praise I can give Andy is that at times under our previous few managers the games had felt like a chore, whereas now it’s Sunday morning and I’m already looking forward to the next game. Even if we aren’t winning we are playing much better football and the players are clearly enjoying themselves as well. Long may it continue.
  7. Got mine on 10 despite it taking almost an hour with a different F+F being greyed out every time we tried for some reason, thank god it finally let us all have one and there was enough left!
  8. 850 tickets left, my optimism of getting tickets on 10 points is dwindling.
  9. Has it been announced when the tickets for the Netherlands friendly will go on sale? On 10 points and not sure I’ll get one.
  10. I find Taylor Steven to be a bit frustrating, clearly has ability but the constant cutting onto his left and wayward shooting starts to frustrate pretty quickly. If Buchanan is fit for the weekend I’d go with him on the right, Cawley off the left, Scougall in the middle behind Roy.
  11. Absolute disaster to put it nicely. Would imagine Andy will have a few names ready to replace him in the event this would’ve happened.
  12. New ground for me so pretty pleased with that. Not out of the question to get a result either.
  13. Thought we actually started the game well and if we score when Roberts hit the post just before the goal then it could’ve been a different game. Fair play to the Edinburgh boy it was a peach for the first and well taken for the second as much as it was far too easy from our point of view. Second half we huffed and puffed a bit too much and got a bit desperate rather than trying to be patient and wait for an opening. We played a lot more on the deck today and we saw flashes of good play at times, albeit not enough. Roy seemed to really struggle on his own up there and nothing really came off for him, and Steven isn’t really a winger. Think 3-0 was a bit harsh but overall Edinburgh deserved it, they were a lot better than I expected, will be surprised if they finish 10th this season.
