  1. More likely to replace Vaughan. Hear he is out for the rest of the season. What a difference a week makes.
  2. Mind driving up Pratt Street on Christmas Day as he came out the club laundry room with a basket of strips. Brilliant. Just what we need.
  3. Lennon’s been interviewed before and never got it. Not surprising if he doesn’t fancy entering the process again. Especially given the mess we made of it before. Heard Cuthbert looking to get Billy Stark on with him. Any win on Saturday and I expect he’ll get it. Safe, cheap and easy. The accountants way.
  4. Keep holding off until Cuthbert gets a win then give him it
  5. Saves us all being pissed off when he changed the team from Saturday’s for our next league match.
  6. Much as I have my doubts about the whole plastic plans our real problems are on rather than off the pitch. Need some points in August or I can’t see Smith making October. Damaged beyond repair with too many fans after last season.
  7. Dreaming about watching from behind the dugouts on the sunny evening against Gotu .
  8. What a difference a good performance makes. Went into the game thinking we could have been slaughtered after last week.
  9. I hear Nathan Flanagan was training with us. Got offered a contract today and when he heard the wages on offer got his stuff and duly fucked off. McHattie’s in the frame for a game and Vaughan is injured and could be out for weeks/ months. Happy Days.
  10. Aye. C’mon. Forget Vaughan. C’mon. Talk us through finding Martin with the laptop.
  11. Nothing much been happening with the pitch for weeks. Will it definitely be finished for Christmas?
  12. FFP says we are in talks with Willo Flood, Joe Cardle, Rory Loy and ex Hamilton Grant Gillespie. As good as in the bag. Well. Other than agreeing wages..........
  13. You kidded on an imaginary son called Martin had been secretly logging on to Pie and Bovril and then called us all out as bullies. You then returned months later bold as brass without a word about it. Come on Eric. We appreciate you’ve had a hard year. Talk us through it.
  14. It’s all about ambition. Are the directors prepared to work at improving the club or are they simply happy enough treading water and simply turning up every Saturday for another club tie free day out?
  15. He could try and bring in more money through retail / hospitality / sponsorship to finance it.
  16. We’ll see this week what Sim is about. He can either show some kind of ambition to get the club up or settle for allowing us to find our own level and consign us to a part time existence in the lower leagues. We have had an odd collection of directors. I’m sure most of us wouldn’t have picked any of them. There is no collective drive to improve the club with no appetite to engage with the support and involve them in the real running of the club. An amateur operation. Our ground and facilities, our merchandise retail and our efforts at attracting and then keeping sponsors are woeful. It all had to catch up with the board and the last two seasons are the result. Last Saturday’s crowd shows there is still an interest in the club despite all this. Let’s hope we can get some decisive and positive action this week rather than an indication that the plan is to continue stumbling along as we have done this season.
  17. They’re looking for someone to lay the pitch. I saw Sinton in Stocks Carpet Warehoose yesterday morning.
  18. That’s the only highlight of the season. The day Martin learnt a lesson.
