  1. U must have some great drugs down there honestly ,the league doesn't lie,we are where we are cos we've been rank rotten away from home , your where u are cos uve been inconsistent despite throwing money at it ,and u won"t learn cos u'l do it next year again [emoji848][emoji849]
Surely that's ambition to at least try every year and if they can afford it then why not .
I can get his argument on there day they might be as good as the rest but just not as consistent.
I have saw all the teams in the league and the top 2 did not impress me but there positions show they are consistent .
  2. Great guesure by the players to pay for the supporters bus to Larkhall bit since that game was postponed we use the money to pay for our bus for Darvel next week .
It's lovely to know the players appreciate our support in the same way we appreciate there efforts in the jersey [emoji106]

One club one team one support [emoji172]

  3. There will be a snack van for the away support on Saturday, the Candy will enter the ground the same way as last time, via McNeil Street, hope you enjoy your day
Read that today football snack bars tend to be extortionate bit least Larkhall have put something in place so I applaud that .

Looking forward to it hopefully it's a big crowd and a good game .

  4. Saturday's fixtures :-
    Benburb (2nd) v Girvan (14th)
    Craigmark Burntonians (13th) v Arthurlie (4th)
    Kello Rovers (15th) v Rutherglen Glencairn (1st)
    Larkhall Thistle (16th) v St Roch's (11th)
    Neilston Juniors (8th) v Cumbernauld United (3rd)
    Rossvale (5th) v Darvel Juniors (9th)
    Your thoughts ?
Benburb v Girvan should be a home win but it will be hard fought 2-1
Craigmark v Arthurlie both teams needing the win and I'm going the away side 0-2
Kello v Glencairn saw Kello on Saturday and they will struggle with the quality of Glencairn 1-4
Larkhall v St Rochs ah Picnic Saturday ( I will be unable to buy anything from the ground so i will bring my own ) and I'm sure this will be a fiery affair but think the Roch will have too much about them and collect there first win in Larkhall 1-2
Neilston v Cumbernauld should be a tough game but the Nauld really need the win and will get it 0-1
Rossvale v Darvel both teams in good form but I think the home side will just shade it 3-1
  5. Lol, you don't need to worry about St Roch's going down, I can't see Girvan getting any more than 10 points from their remaining 9 games.
Nothing is taken for granted until it's not mathematical possible Peter as football has a habit of kicking ye in the nadgers when you least expect it
  6. I would tend to agree, but there is always the "home or away" factor, and Benburb have only 2 at home and 5 away games. After their home game v Girvan this Saturday it will be 1 at home and 5 away left to play, and as we found out on Saturday they won't find it easy away to Irvine Victoria.
Rossvale have 3 at home and 7 away, but their only game against the other promotion contenders is away to Glencairn (a week on Saturday).
Glencairn have 4 at home and 3 away, including home games against both Rossvale and Cumbernauld, and after Saturday it will be 4 at home and 2 away.
In Cumbernauld's favour they have 5 at home and 3 away, so they could use that to their advantage to hold on to one of the top three places.
I would tend to agree that the odds are now against Arthurlie with their 3 at home and 3 away, although they have still to play Benburb and Cumbernauld so wins in those games could give them a chance.
I worked out last night that the current threshold for guaranteed promotion is at 70 points, but that will obviously come down a bit as the promotion contenders play each other.
What do we reckon will be the ultimate points required for promotion by the end of the season - 63 or 64 possibly ?
We have Cumbernauld and Rossvale to play at home and Glencairn away so I think we will have a wee say in who goes up
  7. 1-1 Doon at Kello today
An enjoyable game played in lovely conditions nothing better than the sun on your back and it's been a while since wee saw that .
Had numerous chances to win it and would have deserved the 3 points but that's football sometimes you get the breaks other times you don't.
Fantastic wee day out tho great scenery and nice little ground and the locals were friendly enough so no complaints from me

  8. i can assure you we are spending big this summer but mostly on surroundings and upgrading our park in preparation for what is hopefully a successful season ahead , micks budget wont be any more than this season and that hasnt turned out the way we hoped so dont listen to nonsense being spouted about us being big spenders

Every man and his dug know yer offering eye watering wages m8 and like Glensmad said word gets around but like I said before it's not a crime so we will all just need to match you on the pitch and try and compete with you off it

  9. Tomorrow we once again welcome friends of the candy international brigade to James McGrory Park this time it's our friends from German football club Litchtenberg 47 aka the 240 crew and also the Italian contingent who will also be present .
No doubt we are becoming a truly global club IMG_20190322_161257.jpg

  10. I think with the club doing a pitch inspection so early that it's just to confirm game is off as you can't postpone a match until morning of the game which tbh I find a ridiculous rule as if everyone knows the pitch is unplayable then just call it.

  11. Let's hope there are some games on. Rain has been relentless in Ayrshire since Saturday.

The same in Glasgow tho today has been dry so hopefully we get that till Saturday then the grass pitches will have half a chance
