Very disappointing if someone ( it certainly won't have been the gaffer or a coach who said anything ) at the club is leaking out information via social media but I'm sure players will come and go as that's the nature of the game and regardless of whatever happens we will be strong enough to make a competitive challenge next seasonI've been told he is leaving and has signed for a junior clubAnd been told others are leaving who are not at our standard no doubt by a coach or manager on twitter
I never asked the team just if it was another junior team and it was will no doubt to somebody in the top flight who are good

Oh dearWe get it...... You went to Darvel and had a wee love in with them behind the scenes and now think that they're all great...... When in reality tubes like Darvel legend on here are very horrible to say the least...... Just you continue the love in though....
Look I can only judge folk on how I find them and I have nothing bad to say about them or there football club so it might not be the way things are done on here but I'm not gonna join the haters just cos it's popular .

Quite unbelievable the level of abuse Darvel legend and Mick have taken on here today .
If one guy is a current player he should be ashamed of himself and personally I would sack him in the morning.
What has DL done wrong ?
Invested time and effort to bring in an up and coming manager who seems highly rated ?
Found ways of getting investment to bring in a quality of player which was previously unheard of at Darvel
Aspires to make Darvel a top junior outfit
Set in motion plans to make Recreation Park a top junior ground .
Any normal right minded person would be over the moon at having a guy / team who work that hard in the interests of there club but not on here instead you have every halfwit and snider mouthing off and why cos they are jealous pure and simple .
Good luck to Darvel and good luck to the guys who dare to live the dream and if it fails least you gave it your best shot

Cheers DaveI spoke to the guy who won the raffle & it's a good job I told him he'd won a bottle cause he thought it was just a shot at the crossbar, ur subs were hoping it was a bottle of buckie but that could be sorted for next season [emoji16], credit to the candy fans today as we've heard various stories about behaviour, good banter & not a bit of bother today! [emoji1360]
A lot of myth and nonsense is written at times about us but
we come buy the raffles food and beer if available and get right behind our team and enjoy having a bit of banter with the locals that's what junior football should be.
We got treated very well yesterday at Darvel and the home support despite being as passionate about there club as we ours they made us welcome and a keenly fought match was played in the right spirit with a good atmosphere .

It's a tidy little ground and the improvements you guys have planned will make even better tho it's feckin freezing doon there ye need to move that wee hill behind the ground a few hundred yards doon the road 🤣🤣 .Not a bad home support today at recreation park, great to see maw, paw and the weans coming to games. Will only get better next season with the ground improvements.1 -
Cheers m8 and that was us with numbers down as a bus also ran to Ayr for the national .The rochs are certainly a welcome addition to this league and by far best support we have seen at Darvel this season

We had a lad over from Australia today at the game and he won the raffle bit was too pissed to do the crossbar challenge so send in a ringer and he was worse 🤣 bit still got a bottle of whisky nice touch that and it's wee things like that which make the junior game special

I did not mention the officials as it can seem like sour grapes if you get beat but they three were a complete waste of time and ruined a good hard fought match which never really had a bad foul in itIt was comfortable for us but the ref and both linesman were an absolute disgrace to the badge and that’s with us winning
useless for both sides and that’s the way I saw the game2 -

Enjoyed my visit to Darvel today apart from the result ,good atmosphere and a good game of football which Darvel deserved to win in the end.
Good meeting the guys on here ceejayar wylieboy and the pie man and finally getting to meet the legend who was top class .
Look forward to seeing ye all again next season and seeing the improvements you have got planned for next season.2 -

Definitely he is top drawer but I guess you can't blame him for stepping upCracking player mate pals with boys up there and they gave me impression he would always stay
Some player though even through middle up front in leagues above think he would score the goals
He done us a favour by signing this season when he could have played at a higher level and I would argue he has kept us up this season so he will always be a fans favourite whatever he chooses to do next .0 -

Can't see it being an issue 90% of the Darvel squad will be out of contract in the summer so they will be released if not in the plans of the new gaffer.I know boys who played for him others that would have loved to
And nobody got a bad thing to say about him.Everything he did was professional and set up to give his players everything they needed
And if I was managing in there league I would be bricking it to unless I had 100 per cent faith in my own players
But imagine another new guy going to a club and its all the old managers players he does not fancy?

Haha it's ripping it out you PeterMost clubs have players who have agreed to sign for them for next season at this stage, but they're not announcing them because they know they're not officially their player until they are registered.
